Putin Thread

I am obsessed with Vladimir Putin. I think he's the coolest person on earth. I want to be like him, I'm planning on going to law school like he did, joining the military after like he did and then getting into politics after like he did.
I want to collect fine watches like him, wear nice suits like him, and I generally try to emulate him as much as possible.
Discuss Putin here.

Nothing wrong with seeing power and wanting to emulate it. I feel the same way about Trump, he's just not as /fa/ as Putin is.

Everyone post a Putin

I really like Putin too. I'm confident that as boomers start dying off America will start to have a better perception of Russia and realize that Putin really isn't Stalin incarnate.
Sad thing that, boomers were indoctrinated so hard in school during the Cold War that America was the ultimate good and Russia the ultimate evil they still cling on to their brainwashing long after the SU fell.

I actually feel this way a lot about most political things. Most things you hear are from brainwashed boomers who need to fuck off and die already.

I honestly can't wait until that whole generation is rotting in the grave so the world can finally fix itself.

Agreed. Take the rise in the popularity of Socialism, for example. Boomers are acting like we're facing an end-of-the-world crisis with the rise in popularity of Socialism when in reality the levels of support are just rising back to what they were pre-boomer indoctrination. Before the Cold War true Socialists made up about 5% of our political respresentation and currently the numbers back up to around that, speaking in terms of people who are genuine not the LARPers.

For me it's daddy Xi.

But does he inspire you and make you want to emulate him?
Putin makes me want to be the best person I can be.

Yes. I've really liked Xi since the start of last year and he inspires me to work hard like he works hard for the Chinese people. He's my self insert.

I meant since the start of 2017

Can't say I would be 100% happy if he died, but he overstayed his welcome as our "president" aka dictator.

How has him and his policies negatively affected your life and the life of Russians in general?
How has your life improved over his years in power? I'm interested in hearing from a Russian on the subject.

putin is a boomer too. he will die soon

I like Putin, I really do, despite him being a boomer.

But can you imagine how Russia could improve when the boomers in charge die off?

He's a boomer, sure, but there's literally no fouler power in this world than that of the American Boomer.

It's true. Just look at the boomers in charge who have their heads so far up their asses they can't even make the government function

Not only that but, not that the system was any better before, but boomers have completely polarized and bastardized our political system. There's a reason why people call mainstream Republicans neo-conservatives and mainstream Democrats neo-liberals. Their forms of "conservatism" and "liberalism" are really different sides of the same coin. I've never been a fan of a two-party system but at least before the boomers genuine debate took place between genuine conservatism and genuine liberalism, now it's just one big clusterfuck of political miscegenation.

Life has improved during the early 00's,
90's in Russia was literal hell. Even though it got better during the start of his presidency, can't say for sure how big his role was in that whole national renaissance. Right now, it's one of his biggest and most used trump cards (lol).
The whole "Do you want the 90's back" thing is really getting on my nerves, the madman will ruin the country anyway.
His policies mostly affect freedom of speech, which was pretty strong in 90's Russia. Nowadays, you can get prison time for shit you repost/tweet/etc, and the law is so undefined that the government freely uses it to silence everyone it dislikes.
Local government corruption is rampant, all the city budgets are being drained by people that belong to Putin's party, and that leads to degradation of healthcare, infrastructure, law enforcement, etc.
Putin rewrites the constitution (which is in theory more powerful than he is), to suit his purposes, and most of people that vote for him probably don't even know that.
All media is heavily censored by the government, journalists are getting murdered and attacked, shit is insane.
The chechen and dagestan republics (which are Putin's lapdogs) basically live by sharia law, illegal weapons are circulating between civilians there, no one apparently gives a shit as well. They imprison and torture drug addicts and homosexuals, make underage girls marry men older than them, pretty cool, heh.
The taxes and prices grow drastically, retirement age is being increased to the point it's pretty damn close to life expectancy here.
A fuckton of budget money is being spent on the army, while factories struggle to even survive and pay workers, let alone upgrade their technology. It businesses are being stolen from their creators by pro-government companies that try to buy out all the shares. If that doesn't work, they'll first sue the CEO's a dozen times till they give up.

What was the constitutional crisis like when the USSR fell? I don't know a whole lot about it because there's really not much on it but I do remember seeing a video of a few tanks with USSR flags rolling down a city street and firing at a big convention center. What was that all about?

your hatred of boomers is typical adolescence rebellion against the establishment.
Every generation goes through that

post feet natasha

>They imprison and torture drug addicts and homosexuals

sound like Putin is good president.. also look you stupid piece of blyad. Putin does in RF nothing less what Ronald did in USA just much much better. you dont like it? move fucking back to Canada!

>But can you imagine how Russia could improve when the boomers in charge die off?
It has potential, the new generation is far more open-minded in a lot of spheres. The problem is, the corruption is too strong to die out just with time. Boomers pass down their positions to their children, who are most of the time as corrupt as their parents. The oligarchy will never die here, at least not without an armed revolution.
The zoomers here in a lot of cases are cargo cultists who think that we should copy everything from the west and it'll work, I don't really agree with that. Russia is in need of regular change, and a leader that focuses on inner problems, not spooky enemies abroad.

You call russia weak?

No, it's recognizing the impact past generations have had/are currently having on our state. If you're a boomer and find our posts offensive I'm sorry but suck it up.

An undeniable shift happened in American politics between the time the older generations left and the boomers came in. We have terms like neo-conservative for a reason and no one today denies that boomers forged neo-conservatism themselves.

>the new generation is far more open-minded

#US state dep hopes and propaganda

kek. new generation of russians arre mindless fucks, who care only about themselves, ready to burn own house just to get new nikes or iphone from CIA agent.

So he let's a bunch of brown people over their southern border?

I was a toddler when it took place. Basically, there was a mass riot, due to Yeltsin's shady actions that would have turned Russia into what it is now (lol). The parliament (Which was against Yeltsin) had a lot of support from the people, they walked out to protest. Yeltsin pulled tanks and spetsnaz, and soon there were shots fired. The people who have participated in the riot were basically our parents, I know 5-6 people who's dads have participated/died in the riot. Don't know all of it too well, but back then people actually believed in better, that's for sure.
It's not Putin, but islamic ex-warlords who torture people.
It is like this from the day USSR ceased to exist. The old generation of Russians is people that are ready to nuke and get nuked to prove their shitty point.

wait. he did not?
