In physical anthropology, its pretty hard to find today's nationalities. Humanity is typologised for three races and more subraces. I do not remember them all; I am an archaeologist and only had a course in physical anthropology. There are three black subraces, four or five asian, and seven white subraces. The reasons its hard to find any sensible trace of what we call nationality today are twofold. We mix. We do it often. We do it for a really long time already. Also, for all historic times, things like unplanned and planned immigration were common. For example, ruling elite of Poland through whole middleages colonised their lands with settlers from the West. More people = more taxes, and overpopulation is a thing of modern times. Most of the settlers were German, however Dutch were also highly prized for their skills in turning swamps into fertile fields. Actually most of the cities in Poland were founded this way. There was a time when polish city spoke deutsch, and village spoke polish. As time passed, settlers polonised, cultures mixed. Also, nationality as we understand it today is a XIX century invention. Those people who came to Poland to settle did not think of themselves as germans. They did not see themselves different from Poles.

Modern Poland anthropological structure is as follows: 50% of the population is of Nordic subrace. Clean blood. Another 30% is Subnordic: A mix of Nordic and Laponoid, which in itself is a mix of white and yellow races. Rest is minorities. There is no Poles; Majority of the population is of clean or mixed scandinavian descent.

However, in today world, physical anthropology is closely monitored science. Anthropologist will tell you this "jokingly". He cant officially make such statements. Politics kill science.

About being jobless: Yes, for now. I am in Germany on state-financed language course. I do not take money from your state; I do not want to and I do not need to. Language course is enough for me to integrate soon and painlessly into your society. There is a deficit of archaeologists in Germany and I am a Pole.
I imagine most modern countries in Europe look similiar from anthropologic point of view. There are lot of theories explaining Poland; there are pretty good signs in archaeology too. If its true, it would have pretty funny consequences: for example, there are would be no slavs. They would be artificial construct. That would also mean that our favourite austrian maler spent most of his time murdering fellow germans who forgot their ancestry through last 3k years. Interesting, isnit?

Well, forgive me I will answer in english, as we are on korean basket weaving forum which uses english as common language. Yes, there are jobs for archeologists, and I had no problem with that in Poland too. Not much of them, not the best pay, but you do not become archaeologist because youre fixated on money. My father works in Germany all his life anyway, so I just used possibilities open for me to make my life better. Here, archaeologist makes 3k eur brutto; thats more than enough for me, I am not a consumptionist. Actually I am even not sure what I will do with that money.
