Im running a Discord server for now around 2 years I thing. The reason I did it was because I usually made threads here (still do) on fringe topics and conspiracies. People eventually asked me to make a discord but i refused because I wanted to stay here as I actually like it. But then the threads started getting shoahd and I didnt want discussion and research to just seize so i felt forced to move elsewhere. Now since people said Discord it was the first I checked out, it was easy to handle and thus I stayed there. In this time I got my account and the server deleted once (no idea on the reason, when logging in it told me to check my emails but nothing was there and as i found out some while later i for some reason couldnt receive any mail there whatsoever) luckily we could hold most of the people together and werent hit too hard. So yes, Discord is entirely pozzed. However I just wouldnt post on there, as anywhere really, anything that you arent willing to say in the open and defend it. Common sense is the best security and if anything you post is something you casually talk about with others either way I dont see much danger coming from it. So as a program Discord works really well to organize research and discussion and archive sources, but the leadership are a bunch of kikes. Sadly it was the best free software I could find. Everything else costs money, deletes the history after a while or is really autistically to manage (like Riot).

Discord is an app for communicating with gamers about gaming things. In this regard, it is not a "honeypot" when used as intended. The app itself is harmless.
Where the faggotry begins is when people start using it for Internet drama and political horseshit. So, use the app wisely. If you join "NaziTruther1488's" Discord and go on a drunken rant about ethnic cleansing and building the ethnostate, don't be surprised if somebody turns you in. People "infiltrate" Discords all the time to sift through archived conversations for edgy jokes and memes to hang people with. Discord is not, and never will be, some sort of vehicle for groups to have private conversations on.

The app can be useful. I can tell you from experience, though, that people get high, drunk, or both, and say some incredibly stupid things on it. Or they'll all get into voice chat yelling over one another and eventually get into screaming arguments about trivial points.
If you've been following the Mundane Matt drama, well, he's being tarred and feathered on the Internet once again, and it's all over idiotic things he said in voice chat on his Discord, where he seemed to think only his friends hung out.
With Discord you can change your screen name at any time. You have a unique user ID, but it's very easy to become confused about who exactly you are talking to. People lose "control" over their Discords rather quickly, even when they have several mods. It isn't the easiest app to keep a lid on, or at least this has been my observation. My experience with Discord is rather limited.

Telegram is good too yes. Harder to archive things though. In many political servers you would always have 3/4 types kg channels: 1. General 2. Debates 3.Memes 4. Archive/documentaries/books/red pills Its hard to do all of these at once on Telegram, let alone the misc channels that some have (music, fitness, art etc)
