2. What are your nightmares like?

Typically something like
>failing to drive a car in some way
>getting lost in a semi familiar area
>overdosing

big bears
fire falling from the sky
being in a crowd and everyone turning on me

i can't remember them all but they're always exaggerated. once i dreamt of being on that waves planet from interestellar, other times i'm being chased by a large group of people

>quiet setting with nothing unusual
>something doesn't feel right
>monster/ghost start chasing me
>run away
>wake up when they're about to get me
every time

>my best friend getting a girlfriend

Uhhh like going to places where I would normally not like to go at all. Going around in buses without a destination and finally watching this weird sentai ranger jump around.

They say you always dream something but you almost always forget it when you wake up.
Didn't remember nightmares in years and only have like 3 dreams per year that I remember after waking up.
But It's usually something really tense or something bad approaching really fast and when it hits I would wake up.

>something doesn't feel right
let me guess. it's a familiar environment but something is "off" about it. like a forest but there is no wind shaking the leaves on the trees, or an eerie silence that just doesn't occur in real life

Attached: 1501639771934.gif (258x297, 2M)

end of the world stuff...knowing that the planet has had multiple extinction level events and growing up during the cold war gets to my subconscious

dont have nightmares my life is basically perfect

Falling seems to be a common theme.
I've also had dreams where I killed someone and then had to go on the ein, those were real bad.

Ananas on pizza

"eerie silence" yea this,
it's hard to recall details since it's all foggy once you wake up but this is kind of what i meant.

How can i have a nightmare? I never do.

picking up a hooker with Abraham Lincoln in Las Vegas in a 1967 Corvette Sting Ray with open roof after picking him up from his job in the coal mine

>What are your nightmares like?
my bipolar ex crying and begging me to take her back. yeah she fucked me up real good

recently almost all my dreams are extremely violent and surreal, structured like a movie with very bizarre locations that look half german and half fantasy

Flag
>I'm walking through an empty snow covered field
>Hear screaming all around me
>Look around to try to find screaming
>Somewhere there will always be a person standing there looking at the ground
>Get terrified when I see him
This has been happening for the past two weeks what does it mean?

I usually fear unavoidable doom like black holes and stuff where there is literally nothing humanity could do or could have done. Things like a nuclear apocalypse and even large asteroids not so much because we have ways to prevent them.

My dreams are usually very clear, i am in control of most of my dreams. A nightmare usually happens when i take things too far, begin to steal from a house and get caught, then i have to escape from these hellholes of prisons. Or i might stumble upon some very strange and creepy persons, i usually find them when i explore random buildings in these gigantic cities. Sometimes i just walk around in a peaceful nice city, look at the people, everything is normal, then i decide to rape or kill someone just for the fun of it, then shit starts to happen.

I always dream about a city beneath the ocean, a city with non-euclidean architecture.

Almost every dream that I remember ends to me dying from falling, getting beheaded or eaten by maggots, raven or cockroaches.

It has happened so many times that it's not frightening anymore.

Usually revolve around going in wrong direction and unable to go back. What is the significance of this, Jow Forums

exactly, like all of our history could be wiped out in an instant and everything that ever happened means less then nothing.

oh god i've had these nightmares. leaving the house on a nice sunny day and suddenly the sun seems to swell up in size or you see the earth rapidly approaching another planet or black hole. and it feels so real too, and you just can't believe the world suddenly ends within the timespan of a minute, so real and surreal at the same time

As a kid Ialways had the nightmare of my mom abandoning me in a elevator, stairwellor at a trainstation
I would then run after her, somethimes crying with random people following me and the structures around me collapsing

you got the gay

oh fuck my greatest fears
At least I don't have/remember nightmares anymore.
>inb4 get one because of discussing this

Most people forget what they dreamed of after 15 seconds of waking up. The only way to keep them in memory is to write them down immediately after waking up, many people keep a notebook and a pen on a nightstand just for this reason

Learn to control your dreams user, it takes some practice at first, but then you begin to do it every night. I am the ones giving people in my dreams nightmares. I remember once, i was flying over this foresty land with villages below in this kind of airship. I suited up and descended down, we were invading this place, the ship was raining fire and doom and i was just going around wrecking havoc.

I've had dreams where i have to explore the creepiest places i make in my mind, an old house for instance. Walk inside, there are monsters there, but i cannot die, so i repeat until i manage to kill them all and perfect the "level."

I'm always running away from something but I can't move or breathe at all, also heights and falling. My biggest fears are paralysis, drowning and heights so my nightmares make me whimper so loudly my wife wakes up and then she wakes me up which is a bit irritating because I really like horror. Sometimes I realize I'm having a nightmare and just enjoy the ride until the inevitable fall from some cliff which wakes me up every time no matter how much aware I am. I've also experienced sleep paralysis twice, and that is scariest possible thing, not because I can't move, but because it also feels like I'm suffocating, and I can't scream for help.

t. nightmare-pro

no im not :(
maybe i will ask /x/, they might know

Not really nightmares, but the dreams I hate the most are when I want to punch something but my punches are weak as fuck

Almost all of my nightmares involve my 4th ex girlfriend. Bitch gave me serious PTSD.

actually did this
a friend the first year of uni told me to take note of dreams and read them before going to bed so that i could remember dreams each time more vividly.
I felt sleep paralysis a couple of times after.
Never tried it again

US
Everytime I wake up it begins

Are you guys only dreaming about personal events? No gigantic mountains, mysterious islands, cool cities?

One of my parents kill me, usually mom

I have special dream brain. I can actually wake up, take a leak, brush my teeth and then go back to sleep and resume exactly where I left off. Sometimes when I have absolutely nothing to do I can keep dreaming like that for entire weekend.

>my nightmares make me whimper so loudly my wife wakes up and then she wakes me up which is a bit irritating
lmao
How was your sleep paralysis?
>gigantic mountains, mysterious islands, cool cities
Be realistic now, we can't all be Norwegian

One of my most frequent nightmare is walking in a tight corridor with wall made of giant eyes staring at me in a total silence

Usually killing someone and trying to hide the crime.

Zero-strength nightmares are awesome. I've had those when I make contact with chaser (that something that keeps chasing that I can't see but must run away from anyways).

t. nightmare-pro

I've never seen a mountain so I can't dream about it

America
somewhere between a dream and a nightmare, I was a bee-man and there was some apocalypse happening at night and I ran for my life with my bee girlfriend. I jumped into a fast river flowing through a destroyed city with a fiery night sky and lost my girlfriend while we were swept downstream. Somehow I could see and breathe underwater. Soon, I saw some kind of animals hanging around under the water surface right before a water fall. As I got close, I saw that they were some kind of giant shark/octopus hybrid and one tried to snap at me as I swam by but I dodged through its tentacles in slow motion. I fell down the water and splashed into the water before crawling into the riverbank. I saw my girlfriend again; she was urging me to "ascend" with her. I didn't trust her so I refused. She walked off slowly and I had the feeling that I would never see her again. I then looked around, and I was at the exact place where I started the dream. There's much more to the dream about going 1000 years into the future and integrating into a police-state society on a giant spaceship, but I don't feel like detailing it anymore.

these
this happens to me if i go to sleep right after waking up from a nightmare

I hate reading these, I might get nightmares from these but they are interesting to read.

Yesterday I dreamt I slipped and fell from a narrow bridge while someone was chasing me.

horrible, you feel panic but you can't move.
I heard people talking about it like you see monster in the room or something.
Mine was nothing like it: i felt completely 100% wake and no hallucintions but only my thought were awake, no parts of your body answer, i couldn't even open my eyes till it was over.
You basically feel like a brain in a dead body.

>once had a lucid dream
>was like 8
>it was a nightmare
>really scary moment when I for some reason realized it was a dream
>didn't think of anything else, just wanted it to end
>started to forcefully waking up
>felt like I was going through layers in my mind, breaking barriers of consciousness or like surfacing from a deep ocean
>finally wake up
>my heart is pumping like mad and I'm sweating
I still regret that I didn't try to take control

france
like the future

I can resume any kind of dream. One night+day I managed to relive many days of middle school which was fantastic.

what did you name your cat?

Attached: e36.jpg (680x564, 43K)

do you have nightmares about guillotines?

also it was probably something with the undead
that shit terrified me as a kid

yes, specifically not having enough of them

The KKK hunting me down and lynching me

>ufos or helicopters flying in formation at night
>plane crashes but spectating from the ground
>blood and human organs everywhere, gore

the ones had when i was a kid were:
>random black child girl's face appears right in front me of out of nowhere like a jumpscare, wake up next day with my right knuckles sore and peeling because i tried to punch and hit the wall to my left
>randomly walking around, suddenly hear extremely loud trumpet and when i look up at the sky i see giant jesus face looking at me

Yup that's sleep paralysis also checked however I can open my eyes and I could see the monster right there in the corner of my vision so tried I closed my eyes and tried to get back to sleep to escape it. It's extremely scary with all the suffocating and panic added to it.

t. nightmare-pro

>we can't all be Norwegian

i just ask. it feels like everybody ive heard talking about dreams just keep recurring old episodes from their life with a twist and cant create worlds of their own. Have you ever walked underwater and being able to see clearly, ascending up to a boat, cruising around for an hour, reach an 1800s harbor city, explore it, meet a creepy restaurant owner, after becoming invaded from the sea? Like these kinds of dreams.

It wasn't that bad for me. I felt like I was pinned to the bed with nails, absolutely couldn't move. Then all these men in tuxedos and women in evening dresses came up the hall and into my room. None of them even had faces. I watched them drink champagne for an hour or so and passed out

>sleep paralysis for an hour
>the shadow people get so comfy that they open a bottle of champagne and feel like home
>not bad

usually it is about 20 seconds or so dude.

Fucked up shit
>my city is now a frontline/warzone
>my old school (soviet style school form the 80s) has been transformed in a hospital
>I am a regular soldier
>Wounded
>hear how the doctors give up hope on me
>they just put me in a tub in a old class room so I can bleed out in there so they can use my blood for blood bags
>still alive
>wake up in this room, it's tiled with those fucking small white tiles you see in operation rooms and a shitton of bloodstain everywhere (I was not the first one on that tub), also some corpses next to a Trash Chute which leads to the great schoolyard
>I climb out of the tub
>bandage my wounds and were I have cut from the doctors so I could bleed out faster
>drag myself down from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor with apperently nobody giving a shit
>getting the fuck out of that hellhole, lobby is full with wounded and already dead guys

Attached: CRACK-BABYS.gif (726x800, 213K)

I know what I saw dude

Let them come close to you, they might pull you out of the bed and hold you by a foot etc

They can never touch you. They're hallucinations so how could they? Light bends around your being and so does the absence of light

My most memorable nightmares are over-the-top and often include plot twists and other dramatic elements. For instance, I remember one in which I was being chased by Nazis through the Himalayas. Somehow they managed to track me. I jumped into a pond to escape them. Just when I thought I'd gotten away, one found me and started shooting into the water.

Another recurring dream I have is of being a serial killer. I'll store my victims' bodies in my family crawl space or bury them near a local lake.

The plot suggests that I actually did kill people but can't remember doing it. So I'll spend a significant portion of the dream trying to regain my memory, all while dealing with police investigations and the constant threat of arrest.

fuck sleep paralysis. i get it once in a while. sometimes nothing happens, sometimes i feel like i'm getting fucked in the ass by a black demon. it either feels pretty good or hurts a ton

wish i was kidding

>sometimes i feel like i'm getting fucked in the ass by a black demon.
is this him?

2.
>watching dude living in an apartment complex
>lives like 15 stories up
>nice view of the city below
>i'm a cctv camera on the wall inside his room for some reason
>can move camera around and see follow him move in the main room of the house
>watch him as he plays console videogames, watches movies, orders a pizza, etc
>fades to black, fades back to vision
>he goes into the bathroom which has no door and can be quite clearly seen from how i'm angled, something is telling me "don't do that dude"
>fade to black again and come to vision and you can hear him having a shower and the TV is showing static / is shitting it's pants, game running ever so visibly in the background is glitching in a weird way (GTA V sort of game)
>Fade to black and come back a third time and there's only a single blood red light on in the house, and it's swaying half broken
>blood smeared all over the walls, on the floor, apartment turnt upside down with stuff, TV smashed as well as console, and most other breakables
>horrific crime scene
>all of a sudden I hear "Fourth time, you're next" in the most demonic voice I ever heard, nothing has ever come close to replicating it, it felt like it shook my entire body like a loud noise, especially my stomach. Vision shakes from voice, I'm left bewildered.
>fades to black one last time
>I wake up

3.
Am I possessed? I had that dream 7 years ago and every time i had to do something 4 times in a row something bad happens one way or another.

worst one i've had was probably the one where my friend had killed himself. at his funeral, his family, my family and my friends all started randomly killing themselves as well, jumping off roofs and hanging themselves.
the grief felt so real it woke me up. made me realise that i could never do that to someone.

Attached: 952214587.jpg (544x416, 30K)

yeah, you're definitely cursed. have you angered any ghosts lately? yknow, trod on graves, robbed tombs, played with bones, stuff like that?

1. Brazil
2. I actually don't have many. I can remember, like 2 proper nightmares my entire life. I think that's because of that "gamers have less nightmares" thing, because even when I have a bad dream, in the back of my head I don't panic because I know that I'll wake up anyways and I end up relieved when I wake up, so...

Don't have em, but sometimes I have dreams where I engage in life and death battle with other guys, like "stabbing each other in the chest 13 times" levels of life and death and they're always fucking awesome
