The "th" sound is a hard sound to learn to make for most English learners from what I've seen.
>Stick your tongue about about 1cm (or a little bit less) infront of your teeth
>Push your tongue (moderately) up against your top front teeth, tip of the tongue lightly touching your bottom lip
>Have your tongue also lying on the back of the roof your mouth.
>Blow air out your mouth and you'll hear that "thhh" sound, it sounds like a shit "s" one makes if you have a lisp
>Now blow air out your mouth for that "thhh" sound and suddenly pull your tongue back into your mouth on the bottom of the mouth whilst opening your jaw a little bit
>You've now made a "the" sort of sound.

No worries mate, I think I got the "push your tongue up against your top teeth" part wrong.
It's more like lightly biting down on your tongue but your front teeth are doing most of the pushing. Hence when you open your jaw a little bit after pressing down on it and pull it back slightly it feels like you're "flicking" your tongue.
I'm sorry you can't pronounce der "dh" sounth or squivrel, frienth.
