ANSWER THIS RIGHT NOW

If cryptocurrencies didn't have a market attached to them, what would be earth shattering about blockchain technology?

Very useful for recording data that you are worried about people making illicit changes to.

For instance, you could use it for medical records to prevent insurance fraud, or you could use it to track the ownership of a car to make sure it's really worth what someone claims it is.

Without it, the only defense you have is someone promising they didn't modify the odometer.

I mean, this starts at transactions everyone can agree on have happened.
Currencies -> markets -> products
It's like if you ask how would you shit if you had no ass? Torrents are pretty decentralized as well, but that's something else.

retard

>transactions everyone can agree on have happened.
How useful is this at all?

Is it really a massive problem that transactions are happening that people can't "agree" about?

Sure there's corruption, but does that actually happen in the form of unverified transactions or whatnot? Corruption is relationship based, and blockchain is nowhere near replacing relationships.

congrats on being redpilled, OP.
"blockchain technology" is 100% useless bullshit

Lost it fucking kek

I get you, we're all trying to guess what the fuck it's good for. There may be a market upside neither you or me can think of. Why is immutability better than phoning Visa and telling them they've fucked up?

I thought this was pretty on point, but it's not an answer, it's a bit like OK guys we're waiting for all this shit to do anything that helps us. Anything at all.

I think the final idea would be like some machine someone has a right to doing a digital task, receiving a digital currency in payment by everyone who shares it and that currency is saved or spent on other digital tasks, or maybe traded for food IDK. If there's a need to trade for Fiat for stability then it's double expensive and there's no much point I think.

congrats op, you realized all these retards here cheering about a different form of a database like its their favourite sportsteam or something
even dumber than people who cheer apples newest shitproduct on launch
you have to realize two things:
the "market" attached to it is only a way to get vc capital while not abide to existent laws and regulations
hence the many scams and scammers, mlm-tards around
2. btc itself is the "revolutionary" thing, but for different reasons

You have to incentivize people To contribute. Atleast with the blockchain you can trust that you’re downloading a safe uninfected downlod and seeding as contribution
