Russia respects no deals with countries that have less nukes than it does. You need to arm yourself to at least Russian tier, preferably much more, and then you sit with Russia to the negotiation table. Doesn't work otherwise. That's why i have serious doubts that this "EU Army" could be useful on serious strategic directions such as Russia. And probably it is even not designed for it.

My point is that if Europe considers its security as endangered, it should spend more money on the NATO instead of spending more money on some new organisation that would double NATO's competences. Meanwhile what we see is a circus: Germany keeps its military spendings on 1% GDP level, while sperging out about "urgent need" of having "EU Army". Something doesnt glue here. German politicians constantly send verbal signals about "Russia being danger" but they are building new pipelines with Russia, make countless bypasses of sanctions so their business could spread there and so on and so forth. And it applies to WHOLE WESTERN EUROPE, not only to Germany. So again: smth is very smelly here. Last but not least: such countries like Germany and France are more worried/angried/disturbed by American military presence in Eastern Europe than by Russian military presence in Eastern Europe.

So my final conclusion is that this "EU Army" would be rather a force that would help Russian army in oppressing my citizens for the good of Russian-European businesses instead of giving us security from Russia.

If NATO allies were more important for the USA than just artificially funded rebel groups, conflict between USA and Turkey would be never created in first place, and Turkey wouldn't need to make artificial diplomatic gestures towards Russia and Iran, both of them can't be long term allies of Turkey because of simple geopolitical rules.
