The Chinese can pronounce both L and R you bunch or morons, and distinguish them

The Chinese however pronounce this inbred American R instead of a normal r which is a tap or a vibration/trill. They do NOT have a tap/vibration consonant, so if they hear normal r, they approximate to the nearest sound, which is L, obviously.

Now Japanese and Koreans genuinely confuse R and L

There's really two types of R sounds in Mandarin. The R in 人 (Rén) is unlike any other sound in the English language, but the R in 如 (Rú) is pronounced like the R in "ru", similarly 肉 (Ròu) is also very similar to the English R.
The stereotype that East Asians confuse their L and R sounds is completely due to the lack of L/R distinction in Japanese, not Chinese.

The chinks i've met never did the mutt r, they'd say l or for words 人 zen, but maybe that's because they were from the south, near shanghai

The northern Mandarin accents have R sounds that are much closer to the American R with the exception of re, ren, and ran.

The UK mostly gets immigrants from Hong Kong and the Cantonese-speaking areas. I'm just an exception.

we can't pronounce chinky r, chunks can't pronounce euro r. Simple as that. We call it r for convenience but they're not really making an r

I don't know where our chinks come from, but certainly not canton or some northern region, since I've almost never hear a chinky r or cantonese in chinese owned businesses (restaurants, flower shops)
