I've been learning English since pre-kindergarten, then mostly through videogames, music and the internet, also almost everything I use is in English (phone, laptop, pc, etc). I have a C2 certification but I probably still sound like a retard with my accent.
This plus songs, especially hip-hop and rap, and cartoons on Cartoon Network
Runescape, television, music and the internet in general. I never learned anything new in school.

Exposure and school. In reality though, when you're a child you don't need school to learn a language, you only need to be completely surrounded by it
Basics from school and then a whole bunch of procrastination time spent on Minecraft videos on Youtube.
Puerto Rico is a US *territory*
If US territories speak Spanish, why are Arizona, Nevada etc states?
Because we stole those states fair and square from the Mexicans in the 19th century

i had access to the internet since age 14 or so
the only thing keeping monolinguals from learning is interest
I learned naturally since when I started using my computer at the age of 7. A lot of games, applications were gibberish to me so I had to learn it myself. At that time I also learned programming in BASIC which reflects at my profession nowadays.
The only problem is that my pronunciation sucks because of it, but I'm slowly getting better.

I read several hours every night before bed from 4-16 years old. Like 8-10 pm and later on 10-12 or 1/2/3am depending on how engrossed in the book I was. I can't recall learning a single useful thing in English class itself.

I'm a native English speaker.
When I was growing up, my parents taught me it, and since then I've never forgotten it. It was also spoken around me in school and outside the home. Was pretty easy to learn I don't understand why everyone doesn't speak it.
I learned russian from listening my russian neighbors fight all throughout my childhood
Mostly by reading ASOIAF/technical, mathematical, physical literature and listening to fantasy audiobooks in English.
No habla englisio, gringo
Cartoon Network. Most of my generation in my country learned it that way.
I'm now a professional English translator just because of it.
