Better than finding poo everywhere
Better than getting shot on a school day.
Why the fuck is he wearing a bike helmet while taking the picture and why the fuck do they post this garbage? How many people get killed by a sword in the UK? I bet nobody.
I think that they think that other people see them as cool for posting this. American police will post picture on Twitter about huge busts and getting scum off the street but post a picture of like 10g of weed expecting people to applaud
is it true that British cops don't even have guns?
I don't see one of this dude
>Northumberland
Wtf nobody even lives there
Well obviously not after that dude got em with his sword
It's because the goverment has been cutting the police and they need to be seen as 'doing something' but since stopping Somali's from cutting their daughterc clits off is hard and asking the black kids to stop stabbing eachother is problematic they post pictures of plastic forks they found in a chippy instead.
is this real?
Nvm turns out Northumberland heath is a place in London not actual comfy Northumberland
And now some poor Polish handyman has lost the tools of his trade
Brexit means Brexit!
its just house hold tools what the actual fuck?
Nice helmet lmao
They don't find them in people's garden sheds and tool boxes. Chavs have a history of stashing them in hidden places, particularly around where drug or other nefarious activities occur, so that they are readily available should a drug deal go bad or a fight breaks out. They use tools for a few reasons:
>a.) Access to weapons can be difficult
>b.) If a tool is used in a fight instead of a weapon the defence can argue that it was a weapon of opportunity rather than intent which means a less severe sentence
>c.) It is more difficult for the prosecution to tie a nearby stashed tool to a criminal and criminal behaviour than an actual weapon
>d.) People will leave them alone. If you leave a gun or knife under a bush and someone sees it they will take it, and if someone gets hurt with it you might even be criminally liable, if people see old scissors stashed under a bush they will generally ignore them.
A lot of American drug dealers do similar things, it's mostly an effort to have a weapon nearby without risking the increased prison time that can come from getting caught having a weapon on you or using a weapon on someone.
Imagine defending this
>diversity budget
ffs, of course we have armed officers, how could a country not?
burger tier stupidity
you don't though, stop being a deceitful cunt
the average officer doesnt carry, dont fucking point out that one guy at the station still carries to save face
No retard, go to any crowded urban area in Britain (mainly London) and you'll see at least a few of them.
The thing is, outside of London they're really not very necessary
I queit long tryed to figure out what does mean 'heath police'.
>at least a few of them.
AHHAHAHAHAHA
>outside of London they're really not very necessary
Imagine being a cuck islander
So are you going to refute his point?
You can get over being shot but you can't get over being shit
why do policemen in other countries always look so unhappy?
Everybody here is being deceitful. Pretending cops just randomly seize screwdrivers (you complained about an ecplanatiry post) for no reason, pretending only Brit cops have gay cars and diversity budget (other countries do it too and for good reasons), pretending it's ironic that an Orwell museum has cameras (all famous museums in urban areas have cameras in basically every country), pretending no Brit cops have guns (not all law enforcement officers carry in lots of countries, they are usually used where and when necessary).
If you want to call the Brit out for being disingenuous you at least need to call everyone else itt out too.
Good point, love
I dont have to :^)
Good to know the British police steal from a man's toolbox.
>tfw brits are not allowed to carry knives and have heavy restrictions on firearms
>yet crimes still happen
>thus people are more depending on the state and private security companies, who make profits and make the foundation of militia in England difficult
It's a dog's life... a man's life in the modern England.
Meanwhile if you have a screwdriver in the US.
Actual sensible post on Jow Forums. What the fuck are you doing, mate?
>Access to weapons can be difficult
What happened to darknet?
Or just killing policement to rob them of their guns.
we will soon have guns, brits won't have butter knives
ebin XDDDD
>tfw brits are not allowed to carry knives
They are in some cases
>heavy restrictions on firearms
Northern Ireland has well above average private gun ownership than the global average, Scotland has an average amount, England and Wales are just below average for civilian gun ownership per 100k
>yet crimes still happen
Homicide rate in UK is lower than 80% of countries on earth. Less than France, way fucking less than Russia, even less than Canada which is the safest country on this side of the planet
>thus people are more depending on the state
This from a country with the 5th largest military on earth, 3rd largest military budget as a percentage of GDP, and most nukes
>and private security companies, who make profits and make the foundation of militia in England difficult
A militia for what?
In Sweden a guy killed 3 shitskins at a school with a sword.
a based guy*
>They are in some cases
But the legal EDC blade lengths are ultrasmall, there is no way you an effectively defend yourself with them and performance of daily tasks is quite difficult with a blade that small.
>Northern Ireland has well above average private gun ownership
Because of obvious reasons, it's fucking Norhtern Ireland
>England and Wales are just below average for civilian gun ownership per 100k
And carry and use of those guns is heavily regulated.
Damn, they even have airsoft guns regulated by government, holy shit.
>Homicide rate in UK is lower than 80% of countries on earth.
So what? Violent crimes are not including only homicide.
>his from a country with the 5th largest military on earth, 3rd largest military budget as a percentage of GDP, and most nukes
What does it has to do with civilian self-defence? Ours self-defence laws are fucked up too, but we have more opportunities to arm ourselves and carry our tools and weaponry.
>A militia for what?
Either in case of foreign invasion, or, as americans say, in case of need to oppose the tyranny of the government.
>russian is unironically arguing with a leafposter
I'm an optimist, Antti, I belive that leafs can be convinced
I understand that you can stab someone with scissors or screwdrivers but how can you use a file as a weapon? It's not heavy or sharp, at best you can scrape someone's skin with it.
then you are not very clever
You can make a shank out of a file, but the best kind of file for this task is the triangular file, like Luigi Lucheni's
Based
>But the legal EDC blade lengths are ultrasmall, there is no way you an effectively defend yourself with them and performance of daily tasks is quite difficult with a blade that small.
It's the same in Canada and similar rules exist in many parts of the USA. At almost 8cm it's not that small either. I have dressed, skinned and quartered a deer with a leatherman multi-tool that has a 7cm blade
>And carry and use of those guns is heavily regulated.
That's the norm. Almost all countries have restrictions on who can own guns, why they can own them, where they can use them, and how they must be stored and transported. Their laws aren't especially strict
>even have airsoft guns regulated by government, holy shit.
That is odd, though I believe their are some regulations here and in the US too. Like they have to have an orange tip and you must be a certain age to buy them
>So what? Violent crimes are not including only homicide.
I used homicide because it's the most severe and it's easily comparable, but it doesn't matter which metric you look at, the UK is a very safe and peaceful country
>What does it has to do with civilian self-defence? Ours self-defence laws are fucked up too, but we have more opportunities to arm ourselves and carry our tools and weaponry.
You said dependence on the state and money (implying for safety) clearly Russia has a large dependence on state protection. It's whataboutism though so I take it back sorrry
>Either in case of foreign invasion, or, as americans say, in case of need to oppose the tyranny of the government.
Those are the reasons a militia exists, anything else is just a gun club larping as soldiers. There is no reason to maintain a well armed and trained militia in a country that has a standing army, it negates the purpose of a defencive militia. The other makes sense in a country that needs them, the UK has one of the oldest and most stable forms of government on earth. It's so stable that the Westminster (or westminster based) system is used by dozens of countries around the world including countries that were never British or that kicked Britain and the Monarch out completely but kept the system of government because it is so reliable, effective, and stable. Throw in that the UK scores well of all freedom indicies, well on the corruption indicies, well on democracy indicies, etc. and you can see that a militia to protect against the state is unnecessary. It's only needed in places that are corrupt, lack freedom, have a recent history of totalitarianism, and have an unstable government.
>At almost 8cm it's not that small either. I have dressed, skinned and quartered a deer with a leatherman multi-tool that has a 7cm blade
I don't say that you can't skin a deer with a short blade, I say you're gonna have more difficulties while defending yourself with a knife this short. IMO 10 cm length is the bottom line.
>Almost all countries have restrictions on who can own guns
I'm not against restrictions in general. I just think that they could be less harsh.
>he UK is a very safe and peaceful country
There is a chinese saying - "If you know that once in your life you would benefit from carrying a sword, then it's better for you to carry it daily". Crime rates wouldn't suffer if people would be allowed to carry longer knives.
>clearly Russia has a large dependence on state protection.
Indeed, but it's better not to depend neither on state, nor on private services.
>hrow in that the UK scores well of all freedom indicies, well on the corruption indicies, well on democracy indicies, etc. and you can see that a militia to protect against the state is unnecessary
But, it is, because when people learn how to perform in emergency cases, how to use weapons etc, their councsiousness is growing and they're becoming more capable of self-organisation, self-management, and self-governance.
As long as there is as less government involvement and private business interests in social life, the better.
>even the arested guy laughing
this is practise i assume
>defending yourself with a knife this short. IMO 10 cm length is the bottom line.
I have never considered owning a knife for defence. I guess if that's important to you or necessary in your life then bigger is better. I think that the risk of hurting yourself is higher than the odds of needing it in a defencive way and successfully using it
>I'm not against restrictions in general. I just think that they could be less harsh.
I have criticisms regarding sone of the UK gun laws (I had a very shitty hunting experience in Scotland as a result of some of them) but I don't think they are very harsh compared to many other countries which is what is being implied in this thread.
>There is a chinese saying - "If you know that once in your life you would benefit from carrying a sword, then it's better for you to carry it daily".
We have the same, "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it."
>Crime rates wouldn't suffer if people would be allowed to carry longer knives.
Crime rates tend to be higher in countries that have less strict weapons laws, not always and it's difficult to quantify, but I don't think longer EDC knives would reduce crime, it certainly hasn't worked in the USA
>better not to depend neither on state, nor on private services.
I agree with that
>But, it is, because when people learn how to perform in emergency cases, how to use weapons etc, their councsiousness is growing and they're becoming more capable of self-organisation, self-management, and self-governance.
The British government supports a lot of that though. They help fund programs like the Boy Scouts that teach people all of those skills (self-reliance, survival, etc), they also subsidize and encourage archery clubs and programs.
I also don't like a lot of things the UK does on these subjects, my point is that the UK isn't an Orwellian state like this thread suggests. It is similar to many other western nations
>better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it
Yeah, here it's the motto of Angry Partisans aka Team x715x
>but I don't think longer EDC knives would reduce crime
They wouldn't increase it either.
>. They help fund programs like the Boy Scouts that teach people all of those skills (self-reliance, survival, etc), they also subsidize and encourage archery clubs and programs.
Maybe, but they don't train people how to use firearms and they don't fight the hoplophobia.
>It is similar to many other western nations
They might not be the orwellian nightmare lands as people tend to paint them, but they're getting close to orwellian with each year. And most people are alright with this, they share their personal data n shit.
>this guy is engaging in serious discussion with a leaf that thinks people stab themselves like children
how are russians so cringe
Broadswords are the number number two cause of death for men under 65 in the UK, after scimitars.
>leaf that thinks people stab themselves like children
Work in an er anywhere in the world. The stories I could tell you.
Is this real?
I believe you on account of your flag
What’s even dumber is justifying the act of doing something by pandering to the masses that also do that thing
I really hope you’re not the Canadian that wrote the good post
No airsoft gun restrictions on a federal level in the US besides the necessity to import it with the orange tip, but you can take it off after
I think New Hampshire or some shit proposed a law about airsoft but it never went through
Stop appealing to “the norm” or how other countries do it when the point or practice itself is unreasonable
No, it's at the Oktoberfest where everything is fun, even being caught by the police or vomiting in public.
*Ngloids must be exterminated for the good of mankind
shoulda paid that tv license
You are missing the point of the thread. A discussion on the best balance between security and freedom and how good or bad most countries are at it is fine. This is another "UK is an Orwellian totalitarian shithole with TV licenses, criminalised butter knives, no gunz, gay police, sharia zones, etc." thread, when in reality the UK is little different than any other western nation on most of these things. That doesn't mean that most countries aren't wrong, it just means that it's usually an exaggeration to pretend that the UK is significantly worse than average.
>they're still going at it
you got a loicence for not smoiling mate
based
Eh, I'm sure it would hurt if you whacked someone on the head with it, but you can say the same thing about a lot of things.
Using a closed fist is more effective
This'll be the theme of the next Bond film.
Brits are dangerous
English commoners have a storied history of being shit on and not being allowed to do things
wtf bong? so cringe and very bluepilled
I just looked it up. Damn, you're right.
Nah not really. Historically they were less oppressed than commoners on the continent. It's really just compared to us that they seem draconian.
>being armed means crimes stop happening
lmao
They have some but not all.
>It's really just compared to us that they seem draconian.
at least we don't get arrested for collecting rainwater
Too much freedumb.
god wills it
Some of those are legit horrific but the rainwater thing is a meme. The guy who went to jail for the rainwater was basically damming up his property and creating lakes and shit like that is regulated by states out west because it can cause serious problems with the environment.
Anyway, I'm actually not ITT to shit on the UK or have a meme war so calm down, Nigel.
Everything west of Berlin is draconian and extremely bluepilled don't @ me. I cringe every time i read news from ((progressive)) world
That file looks lethal, desu.
Tihihi
>Go outside london
>Shoot everyone you see
>Cops cant do anything because they dont have guns
>They have to wait until you run out of bullets to ask if you had a gun license
A kid in my high school was repeatedly stabbed with a file during shop class.
The real question is why did they confiscate a nut driver? I don't know how that could be used as a weapon outside of maybe stabbing an eye. Is it illegal to own tools in bongistan?
Where'd you get a picture of Justin Trudeau's car
lol
