Skybros, I have a dilemma

if you have a Skyminer and you get your internet through SkyWire you are connected to the other operators that are within a certain radius of you (5km/15km). the others are also connected to all the operators around. Given the radius distance, you think that the network is available only in your location. so if you live in Berlin and you want to visit a wesite that has its servers in Lisbon, how can you visit that website through SkyWire?

nobody knows.sky is down so we will never get over the testphase. rewards are in sky, mb if they change the reward system the wire can survive

5600 nodes now number went up even if the coin is down, sure it's the feeling people get installing the miner, pretty easy to do it. multiple nodes takes just 500bucks out of your pocket.

Not true, the first phase happened in March, give them some time… the next Skyminers are already being manufactured and most probably will get out soon for the community

>> never use skywire
>> isp will never be replaced
>> skywire uses isp haha faggots

You actually get your internet through it? Red pill me on this thing and what you can actually do with it. Not even as an investment, just what does the physical box actually do?

OP. Clearly there won't be skyminers all the way from Lisbon to Berlin they work on some anntenas sorry I don't have specific info I only know this

Y would I try this if there's no $$$ just to be part of the "something big and important cause my life is insignificant"?

As far as I know, everything was built on modularly, but I don't know much how that interact with interoperability

Look up software defined networking.

It's also about the self regulated network through the Obelisk algorithm...I think. Every nose has its own public key creating identities

Sky can be converted to BTC which can be converted to $$.

It's about decentralized internet, which makes it completely independent and much secure

For over a decade, Skywire will not be fully and globally wireless for obvious reasons. It will be a hybrid, using the medium available: connection will spread from antennas to cables to whatever.

P2P is not available and yes ISP can be used to test the nodes. If u want to get rid of the ISP u have to assume that other testneters keep it and send data to skywire

why are saying that there are obvious reasons for Skywire not too be fully wireless?

>Literally being this retarded

Box give off signal
10 boxes exist globally
10 boxes no reach other boxes
1 billion boxes
boxes reach boxes through other boxes

anntenas will solve your dilemma fren
after they test the wire ( bugs, coin h) & add enough skywire hardware they will launch the anntenas which will make your dream come true

Step 2 is about going wireless

Now it makes sens. First I use ISP for limited local radius then anntenas for wireless. If you ask me, a satellite would solve everything

So this box practically is a hardware with specialized VPN and different kind of configuration compared to other hardwares

sounds slow af, wont be even able to watch a youtube video lol

yeah, it is built specially for the new internet...concept which I don`t really get to be completely honest

Basically the superman of VPNs

:) :*

how can you transfer gigas of data from the US to Australia at decent speed? antennas? this shit is nonsense

good one, change the name of your network into"skywire" and dream of your intergalactic mesh net experience

>No.10011200
hahaha, appreciated your help

Always :*

The global communications network relies on undersea fiber optic cables to transmit data, it used to be copper cables, now its fiber optic. Antennas and satellites are not used. It is not possible to replace the cables with these for economic reasons. ISP's do not own or operate these fiber optic cables. ISP's only rent access to the cables in the same way that governments and corporations do. ISP's only provide service to "the last mile" for the gen pop. Backhaul providers are not ISP's. They provide general purpose telecommunications for any and all reasons. They do not operate under the same regulations or incentive models. However centralized they may be, it is not relevant to internet freedom at this point in history. The true model of global telecommunications is much more complicated than this and differs depending on the region. Obviously, Some skywire nodes will need to be set up to connect directly to this preexisting infrastructure. The entry barriers for this are higher than what a regular user is prepared to overcome, but as long as it is economically incentivized to do this business minded people will be motivated to go for it. People go into business doing all kinds of things, as long as it makes them money. People who don't get this really should gtfo biz.

>through SkyWire you are connected to the other operators that are within a certain radius of you (5km/15km)

I'm sure your raspberry pis will have better connectivity than one of these

finally some sense

Wondering tho when the next generation of Skyminers will be out? There are news here and there about the release of new hardware

Soon, very soon. They have to show the community that everything is on track. Probably they were busy with the kittycash release

Meowwe, tomorrow is the day!!!!!

I have everything being set up waiting for the new router. All I hate do to is some digging about antennas :D

here you can find more tech info about Skyminer and the comparison with other algorithms medium.com/@cryptodiscipulus/skyminer-vs-bitcoin-miner-a-comparison-38e0316b1d4c

> a satellite would solve everything
no, no it would not you absolute brainlet

Cool, thanks. Usually I look for info from forums

>that are within a certain radius of you (5km/15km)
There is no civilization around me. next farm is 50km away, so why should anybody care for that shit

the only looking good item showed by skyteam is skywire. Disappointed about skycoin $5 value of today

>Antennas and satellites are not use
why then if you look up for it there is always a talk about antennas and possible use of satellites?

for 50km I think you will get one of these promised anntenas

"promised antenna", is this like the promised land of cultist skycucks?
