Seriously though, the Chinese characters are so beautiful and seem very logical and practical, but I can't really stand the ugliness of the language to learn it properly. And Chinese culture and customs in general just dont attract me. They lack the simplicity and elegance of say, japanese.
But the problem is that Japan is such a small nation it looks like quite an autistic behavior to learn it to fluency

Animes, videogames, got hit by nukes twice, tsunamis and earthquakes (but still got better streets than my country), honored and educated people, better hygiene in the world, morality and wisdom...
