Usually it is the working class people that are the most nationalist in any given country.
They do this as an attempt to rationalize to themselves that their daily drugery means something and has purpose to a greater whole in this case a nation,people,state or such.

The bounds of blood and soil are among the basest human instincts of the territory and the group/tribe,this is why they are so effective.

These countries usually are poor and have large and expanding working classes this coorelates to these countries being percieved as more nationalist,its quite simple.
