They're using whiteness as an alternate or umbrella term for white supremacy groups, the far or alt right, neo-nazis, the aryan brotherhood, neo-confederates, proud boys, the kkk etc... These groups only purposes are to celebrate being white. The person tweeting is correct in that these groups only seek to restore white men back to their position of power where they were the only people allowed to vote, own land, and even slave. If these groups were truly about retaining white culture they'd be out celebrating, practicing, and improving upon their cultural/ethnic traditions instead of shouting about how white people are better than everyone and marching in the streets and committing crimes.

"Whiteness" isn't a thing, it's the symptom of the American identity crisis. When you have no roots or culture to speak of the only thing you can identify with is your skin color. It's the same thing with black Americans, although it's more excusable in their case, since at least they were violently dragged to America and their identities were forcibly stamped out.
