Is it bad to be reading books aimed at children when you are older? Ones I read during my childhood.
Good post!
Dating outside religion is bad enough for my family let alone race lmao
What’s so good about black or Arab women compared to whites?
What's that flag? The union of Tech Graph teachers?
Butts.
Doubtful. Let's not forget Japan's fascination with Germany. It's second only to its fascination with Finland.
>Is it bad to be reading books aimed at children when you are older?
You start to notice plot holes and inconsistencies that you didn't as a child. I wouldn't recommend it.

That image is peak Jow Forumsireland. All it needs are some Taytos in a Communion chalice and it would be complete.
Finished my jury service. A disturbing case but fascinating to see how a court is organised. A bit surprised how about 75% of people came prepared with an excuse to avoid sitting on the jury and the judge accepted every one of them.
>A bit surprised how about 75% of people came prepared with an excuse to avoid sitting on the jury and the judge accepted every one of them.
To be fair, how could he possibly contest most of them? They were likely of a nature that proving them false would be difficult and time-consuming.
It burns! It burns!
Why are you discussing it online? What was the verdict and did you go along with it? Did you play a big role in the jury?
My aunt was on a jury once and let a knacker away with murder because she was tired of the case. It was after hearing that that I decided that it's probably better to let whoever doesn't want to do jury duty go, or they'll fuck something up
What will they say in England?

True in many cases although there were several where the judge noted they were asking for an exemption on incorrect grounds but granted them anyway. Mainly for self employed people and farmers who are supposed to make themselves available but there was also a guy who lived in the same town but didn't know the accused and wanted out.
>Why are you discussing it online?
I didn't mention anything specific about the crime.
>Did you play a big role in the jury?
I was never sworn in to the jury, the defence objected to me. The verdict isn't out yet, the case is a big one and expected to go on for several weeks. I'm relieved, really.
They had about 20 boxes of evidence and I don't think any of that would be pleasant to view.
>she was tired of the case
My big takeaway from all of this and talking to other people on the jury panel was that nobody really wanted to be there and everyone was suffering some sort of inconvenience or another in attending. They don't even compensate you for travel costs or a parking space so it is a bit of a pain. For a long trial over several weeks I could unfortunately imagine that they'll all want to wrap it very quickly.
What reasons do the defence reject people for? Do you have to be unanimously approved?
don't worry you won't be picked, they don't accept autists. KEK

This is the greatest flaw of jury-based justice. 99% of the time, the people don't want to be there. For a jury to be truly effective they have to want to be there, if only out of some sense of civic duty. Otherwise jurors might make decisions or judgements on the basis of their own self-interest.
The defence and prosecution are both allowed to object up to 7 (I think) times each and with no reason given if they don't like the juror randomly chosen. I presume the reason is demographics and the defence thought I was likely to find the accused guilty based on appearance since I'm not sure if they have any actual information on me.
Both sides used up all their charges though so more were objected to than actually accepted. I'd guess both sides were looking for a certain mix of age and gender to suit the outcome they wanted.
>the defence thought I was likely to find the accused guilty based on appearance
Are you saying you think they thought you would find them guilty based on their appearance or your appearance?
racist cunt
important poll for my fellow lgbtqia+ members of eire
I meant that they're judging the juror on the things you can see on first sight like age/gender/ethnicity since I presume they don't have background information.
Against white people?
Yeah, they can judge whether someone is competent to judge someone else based on their race, age, sex, and appearance. But God forbid you judge the defendant on that directly.

thanks
