I don't they they have topography. It is a European meme.
It's quite fucked up. Imagine living in Chile. It's gorgeous but it's also full of deserts and steppes in the northern and southern parts, and most people live in a valley between the Andes and another mountainous chain.
I met a guy from Colombia who said living in there was like living in a hole surrounded by mountains, so there were house all the way up and down in the horizon and no matter where you're looking at you're always looking at a mountain range.
It would be worse to live in Africa though, you have an enormous and inhospitable desert at the northern part and a humid and wild jungle in the centre and southern parts.
South America's topography is aesthetic with the steep Pacific mountain ranges towering over vast forests and grasslands.
Mountains are cozy
we dont have steppes or deserts in the south
The south is pretty based, the only thing that fucks up South America is the massive tropical weather, it gets pretty annoying even for those who are used to warm climate
>who said living in there was like living in a hole surrounded by mountains
there are places where it's like a pot nd the air gets trapped in the city. I refer to some small towns with these carachteristics as "hornos" ("ovens" for the anglo and obviously monolingual readers)
Well whatever, you must have forests then I can't remember
you had to rub it in on me, had you
We should have higher plateaus so the temperature would be cooler.
Not that shitty to be fair.
It's cool to have Mountains instead of windy Steppes that don't let anything grow.
Not everywhere, i lived in the east where the land is flat and hot. But sure i've just moved to Bogota and i am living literally in the base of a mountain
>full of deserts and steppes in the northern and southern parts
>southern parts
Bogota is an altiplanicie. The real base is way down below somewhere far from there
I just realized Brazil cucked everyone to the mountains
Portugal did, not Brazil.
Portuguese born in Brazil are brazilian
Eh sure but when i look through the window i just see trees so u get it.
how is living near mountains a bad thing
I loved being in chile, there really were mountains everywhere and they were always so beautiful
Being in atacama was insane, the weather was so dry and there was so much sand in my eyes and I was sweating but I'd look anywhere and see a bunch of snowy mountains
We shove them into the mountains, is that it?
IT'S NOT FAIR, I WANT MOUNTAINS TOO
And ended up with the most inhospitable and subhuman climate in the process
São Paulo weather isn't bad at all, desu.
>Imagine living in Chile.
>I met a guy from Colombia who said living in there
Colombian living in Chile? Lmao. That never happens. Look at the map where is colombia and where is chile. Colombians rarely migrate anywhere.
You have jesus in Rio and racenha is high in the mountains.
that's not bolivia
doesn't it rain there all the time?
imagine you wanna play outside and it is raining and mom be like no! you stay home. i'd hate that.
Actually as far as i know very poor people from the pacific coast migrate to chile, ecuador and those andinean countries.
It's a reaction imagine, of course he know it's not, newfag
Are you stupid or just borderline retarded? What he said is not correlated at all. He is living in Argentina and probably met a Colombian. He said Imagine living in chile, that does't mean he lives there or that he met a colombian living in Chile. Good Lord sometimes americans can be fucking stupid I swear
What about Argentina. It is not just climate but overall livability. To me, it is basically the BsAn - Cordoba corridor where all the shit happens. Just go south of it? and Patagonia starts. Huge and sparsely populated, aaaaall the way south, hundreds of miles. Go north east towards Brazil? Indios, zika, poverty. Go northwest? Dusty towns, religion and nothingness. I am not criticizing just asking is it about right?
Exactly, and even thent, it's a 2013-2015 meme. It's not actually a thing as of today, lots of them have actually returned
nah, i just wanted to start shit between chileans and colombians but it didn't work sorry breh :D
>doesn't it rain there all the time?
No, that's Amazon.
Don't do it bro. We rarely give a shit about them and when you give them a chance they come like obsessed vultures to start talking shit about us. Not worth it
I usually would help you with that but I'm too tired to deal with those subhumans
ok i won't plus it is too early yet as those threads happen late at night
why would chileneans talk shit about us, the only thing we have done to them is send negros to improve their race lmao.
he's like a tiger looking at his prey. just look above you. Sadly he'll get eaten by a larger beast asap as it's always the case
I like that shape.
just don't take this personally, mate. we have it worse 2bh.
Colombia is an objectively inferior contry
In some aspects, in others we shit on you vastly. We are the 4th largest economy in Latam and we'll become the 3rd one as soon as we take over Argentina
Andes mountains are cool. They are a natural rain catcher. Compare Central Chile with Cuyo and the Araucania-Western Patagonia with the Eastern Patagonia. Chile has a lot of hydric resources despite half the country having desertic and Mediterranean climates.
It looks like you're pretty behind Argentina, there.
Over the long term, if their economy stays like it's been for the past 20 years and ours keeps growing slowly and steadily, we'll eventually catch up. See Panama, Dominican republic or Chile for examples of how it's done
the only menace is that they have more territory and a higher fertility rate than us, so they might surpass our population as well, making surpassing them economically a quite difficult endeavor
Why is pakistan's economy so big wtf I didn't expect that
they are like 180 million people
Colombia is nice.
>Colombians rarely migrate anywhere.
lol
chile is god tier compared to us regarding land, what the fuck are you talking about
all of our patagonia is a fucking dead desert only useful for the shit oil and with a couple of okay tier beaches (cold as fuck water)
Argentina is way too big for its own good, PATAGONIC INDEPENDENCE SOON
We have a lower emigration rate than Peru, Mexico or Uruguay. ABout 3 million colombianslive abroad, which isn't that out of line compared to even developed countries like the UK, with about 10% of its population living abroad
Isn't that a reason South America is so fucked? Because it costs so much more to do anything because of shit geography and cities are like little bubbles because theres jungle and mountains and shit in the way so it creates a huge wealth divide. Except for Argentina thats just latrino culture
Pakistan has 180 million people, and it's a trading partner with China.
Did you just think that up, retard?
Must be the most stupid thing I've read so far in 2019
Just like daddy.
>Except for Argentina
Good lord the meme is impossible to end. Argetnina is just like any other latino country. They even have a higher poverty rate than us
Gardel alone makes Argentina better than any of your shitholes.
>inb4 autistic uruguayos
as in they aren't fucked by geography really just being latin
nah i saw it on youtube. Like Brazil because theres so many hills in the way of shit, you need to clear jungle and invest a to in transportation for any production unlike anglo countries so everybody who doesn't already have lots of money is locked out.
dellusion, ascolombians need to get good to talk shit
otherwise kiss it and scram
but mountains are comfy la'. Check Switzerland, that's the standard we plan to reach in the next centuries kek

The economic growth part is a forecast I came up with I goota admit, but it's o secret that if we continue down this path we'll claim the 3rd spot soon
I hate that all you latin motherfuckers are paying attention to this post.
why do argienigroes believe their 'patagonia' is even comparable to chilean patagonia
obsessed
But those countries have really high percentages of their population living abroad.
Argentina is still better
almost 100 years of bad desitions and Argentina is still better than your shithole
we should freeze the Amazon tbqh, we could also end coca plantations, therefore Cartels will move out of here
Our patagonia still has bigger cities and better marketing on the andean part. Then you have ok parts like las grutas or puerto madryn and el alto valle is cool too. No one goes to the middle of the fucking desert anyway
>implying we have not gone through 100 years of even worse hardships than those your country has suffered
Argentina is literally one of the most fertile flatlands on earth, is nig free and somehow still manages to fuck up
Imagine if south america was way more south and every winter it snowed in all these mountains in Brazil... It would be comfy as fuck
>is nig free
But it's mestizo infested, which is basically a different shade of subhuman.
>(((INDEPENDENCE)))
Chile Temuco = 383.000
Argentina Neuquén 381.000
Chile Puerto Montt = 290.480
Argentina Comodoro Rivadavia = 198.400
Chile Valdivia = 166.080
Chile Osorno = 161.460
Chile Punta Arenas = 124.169
Argentina San Carlos de Bariloche = 122.700
Argentina Trelew =104.200
Chile Patagonia 2.440.460
Argentina Patagonia 2.430.600
I dont know how you define patagonia argentina... but you included the city of neuquen so your facts are wrong
Patagonia Argentina = Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Eastern Tierra del Fuego
>Temuco
>Patagonia
>most fertile flatlands on earth
that's just the pampas
Patagonia is not only around Tierra del Fuego, you can easily search the places that the Patagonia covers and see that he is right
the other user is right, Temuco is not Patagonia brainlet, chilean patagonia starts at Palena
and by the way Valdivia, Osorno and Puerto Montt are not Patagonia either
Kek

Geography hasn't been kind to Brazil either. A third of the country is an incessant jungle and the rest is covered by serras. Until recently this difficult terrain made transport and communication hell. In 1930 it'd take more than sixty days to travel between the two largest cities, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. No wonder we rank second in the world by number of airports. At least you have the Platine basin.
>it'd take more than sixty days to travel between the two largest cities, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro
Do you guys know what trains are?
>they they
stop stuttering you dumb fat retard LOL take a look at this dumb fucking amerifat everybody
hehe told ya.
thread idea: can we all agree that Colombia is a shithole?
theyre not cheap to build for one
did you even went to school?
Never visited so I don't know but for sure colombians are anthropomorphic excrement
Yes
Yeah, but they'll dissapear in the following centuries due to global warmth and rising sea levels, while we're still going to have some land to live on. Also they suffer from earthquakes all the time. I feel like I'd be at the verge of extinction living in Chile.
>but they'll dissapear in the following centuries due to global warmth and rising sea levels
this meme again
>snow capped mountains
>deserts
>enormous, mysterious rain forest
>gentle plains
>tropical coasts
>southern tundra
Its literally like an MMORPG, based continent. Shame about the orcs inhabiting it.
it wouldn't be a good MMORPG without monsters and beasts
Who is this American gentleman?
it's actually the opposite, argentina will pretty much lose half of their population while chile will come out pretty much unharmed
