Anyone in the Tech Industry here?

Hey biz I am very interested in joining the tech industry

I have looked briefly and it looks like the best way to break in is to become a Software Engineer/Developer/Programmer

Could you explain what I would need to study and Learn

Right now i think its this:

Study: B CompSci
Learn: Programming, Javascript, Java,CSS,HTML
Career paths: Software eng/developer/ Web develpoer
Salary: ???
Places were you can work:??
Job tasks:??

Can you explain more about this career path
Whats the lucrative fields within it?
Anyone work in the field
Can you end up working for yourself etc.

The best time to become a programmer was the late 90, today you're just another code monkey, there's 50 millions of them around and they're gonna get hit hard by ai learning to program.

Depends, being a codemonkey sucks tho

Ok guys whats the thing to get into for now and 5-10+ years in the future.

E-Commerce?
AI?
Cyber Security?

>Cyber Security?
where y get kicked out because some random exception in the system and some some luck dudes just hit your system in the right time and boom

Whats a good field to get into then. I know nothing about this which I why i ask biz

If your not in them now you should prepare for poverty

Physical robotic engineering, stay away from software.

Business management at a tech company

Business operations manage > head of operations > COO

You will make a fuck ton of money, hey decent equity and have a generally easy life delegating to a team

Those are not the jobs a random sucker from the uni can reasonably get, it's all about relationships and kissing ass if you want a management job.
