i never learned swedish. i just don't like the language. but coastal cities have quite a lot of swedish speaking folk. once you go just a little bit inner land, it's just finnish (or english). you'll easily survive in finland with just english. don't bother learning finnish if you're struggling or don't like it.

There is no need to talk you out of it, you'll realize what a stupid idea it is within a week or 2

that guy is either trolling or the minority who actually care about foreign accents. most of us are just amused to hear a non-finn speak finnish. and true, finns can't speak english for shit. the reason i've tried to better my pronounciation is because i fucking hate how crude we sound when trying to speak english. i will never believe someone who says they like the finnish accent. it's disgusting.

You said that only Åland has a majority speaking Swedish population. All the places I mentioned has a majority Swedish speaking population. Did you intentionally lie or were you unaware?
