Before that we had /new/ which just like today's was /stormfront/ but much less popular. The thing is that polandball came from KC and that the drawstyle was crude but the comic funny. It became popular on Jow Forums after and then reddit. Reddit fucked it up by implementing rules for the comics by making the art pleasant. To bad that the content sufferd alot over there ofcourse. Because most comics were unfunny and it became mainstream. Jow Forums resented it and spammed(still doing it to this day) with really bad ones to stop polandball. The thing is you don't need help if you have good jokes. Just draw them.
