I don't care about the khilaf thing. I don't simply label things as bida'ah and haram as long as they're not messing with your aqeedah.

Fine if you want to believe in their existence because Islam recognise jinn but it is haram and syirik to believe that they can bring you benefit or bad luck

I have problem with the habibs (most of them are from Indonesia) that claimed they're the descendants of the prophet. There is a reason why they couldn't get many followings here compared to Indonesia.
1. Their lineage, even if true means nothing to me
2. They're popularising praying and zikr at graves of habibs, ulama' and prophet. This is clear haram and they sometimes use tawassul (using a medium of "pious person" to ask something from Allah). For me this is clear syirik and they're kafir for doing so. This is also why I have problem with Shia. They're calling upon Ali, Fatimah, Husseyn and Zainab more than Allah. Not to mention their reverence of Ali's family had reached idolatry. This is the problem, with the aqeedah, not because of succession dispute.
