Except Finland lost both wars. No harsh feelings when you are outnumbered 50 to 1 in population and manpower, but Finland lost both wars.

That’s pretty complicated. First off, the Soviet invasion came after the german invasion, and covered a much smaller amount of land, which also meant the soviet forces meant virtually no armed resistance. Although this Angered the allies, Poland in particular, they did not declarw war on the soviets as they had done with the germans partially because of the lesser nature of the operation and partially because they were currently busy with fighting the germans.
This did however not stop the allies from planning a strike against the soviets as a result of their invasion of Poland. The plan was initially to send troops and material to Finland to fight the soviets. This was however not possible because Germany blocked the baltic and Sweden and Finland refused access through their territory.
The Allies did still not abandon their plans to fight back against the soviets with their next plan to bomb the Caucasus oil fields. This plan was then postponed due to setbacks in the war with germany untill all plans to fight back against the soviet Union were finally cancelled when germany invaded the Soviet Union on June 22nd 1941.

Germany was more of a threat, trying to compete with the Royal Navy, industrially and economically much more dangerous than Russia, they had already annexed other countries, they were violating the Treaty of Versailles left, right and centre. Plus there is the fact Britain had fought a world war against Germany already in living memory. Churchill was very concerned about communism but there is no way the UK could have declared war on both Germany and Russia.
