Norway and Iceland actually have a defense agreement that allows Iceland to sort-of have an army, capable of defending Iceland.
It allows Icelandic citizens to serve in the Norwegian army.
If anything should happen to Iceland, the Norwegian army has an "Icelandic division" of some sort to dispatch.
The following are all requirements to join:
>You must formally ask the icelandic foreign ministry for permission.
>You need to be capable of written and oral Norwegian.
