It's not me, I usually don't care about Israel because I know talking to Jews about the Israel's policy towards Palestinians or any other nation is utterly hopeless but still I couldn't help but asking this time.

The problem lies in universal vs subjective morality. A universalist moral lesson from the holohoax might be "Mass killing is bad" or something along those lines. A subjective moral lesson for the Jews might be "I am a Jew, and I don't like things that hurt my people". As this applies to Palestine, they can look at the holohoax story and look at it as bad because it was bad for the Jewish people, and look at what's going on in Palestine and consider it good because it is, at least in their eyes, good for the Jewish people. They don't really have many hard and fast rules of moral conduct for everyone, simply that what's good for them is good, and what's bad for them is bad (or "evil").
