You need to read up on current events. Stellar is buying Chain, a startup, for $500 million worth of xlm without any vesting period. Those tokens will be dumped in a bear market. Don’t believe me? It was reported in Fortune magazine. Stellar has centralized governance and ownership of xlm (just like how Jed likes it), so you have no say in what goes down.

Even if there were no vesting period there are certainly % of daily volume restrictions on sales above a certain price threshold that will be imposed on them. Probably less than 1% can be sold per day.
