Do you think they know how good they have it for being island nations?

Where are we Pawel?
Only Iceland is an island, rest are archipelagos.

Being a peninsula is better, it has the advantages of an island and those of a continental area.

Archipelagos are groups of islands. Therefore, to refer to countries based upon archipelagos as “island nations” is factually correct.
Many island countries rely heavily on imports and are greatly affected by changes in the global economy.Due to the nature of island countries their economies are often characterised by being smaller, relatively isolated from world trade and economy, more vulnerable to shipping costs, and more likely to suffer environmental damage to infrastructure; exceptions include Japan and the United Kingdom. The dominant industry for many island countries is tourism.
Is this even good?
Remember when both Japan and Britain had some land in the mainland.
Which time in British history are you talking about? France or Hannover?

At least New Zealanders are Kinda humble what makes them simpathetic.
The others obviously know it and go arrogant as fuck over it like they created their Island.
But Islands create weak people. Japs only love Anime because it can't hurt them and kill themselves over nonsense all the time. Brits, cmon just look at them they look just like people that are very ill and have bones of glas.
Natural selection was just weaker there without external threads.
If Ireland wasn't an island, it'd be much worse. If we were connected to the continent and part of the Schengen area then the whole cosmopolitan, multicultural offices with different flags hanging up, single entity EU vibes would be much worse than they currently are
Those american cancer is much worse in Ireland and UK than it is here.
We get actually much less of that culture here because of the language barrier.
I think it would be much worse out of historical reasons. Unlikely an Ireland or even Irish identity would have survived the times just like many other mainland celtic cultures.
If Ireland wasn't an island we would have taken over Britannia after the Romans left.
Although we would likely have been conquered by the Romans too.
We're too far away from the continent and not far away enough from *ngland.
