Being a peninsula is better, it has the advantages of an island and those of a continental area.

At least New Zealanders are Kinda humble what makes them simpathetic.

If Ireland wasn't an island, it'd be much worse. If we were connected to the continent and part of the Schengen area then the whole cosmopolitan, multicultural offices with different flags hanging up, single entity EU vibes would be much worse than they currently are

Those american cancer is much worse in Ireland and UK than it is here.
We get actually much less of that culture here because of the language barrier.

I think it would be much worse out of historical reasons. Unlikely an Ireland or even Irish identity would have survived the times just like many other mainland celtic cultures.
