A whole generation came back from WW2 and most of them were all fine.
How come in modern times people in wars come home and they are not fine? Especially Americans. Vietnam war fucked with their brains so much, and the iraq and afghanistan veterans aren't much better either. Is it just that Americans aren't built for war? The notion is ironic becasue that's all they do... but then again, they seem to lose their minds after they come home.

That’s actually not true and the impact has already been documented in WW1.
>they were fine
no they weren't
people were super fucked up you just don't hear about it very often
>most of them were all fine
How do you know.
My grandpa came back from war when he was 16 and he was fine. If you are a grown man and get PTSD from war you're a fucking pussy.
>and most of them were all fine.
1. wrong
2. they were simply not given enough attention as today
3. since Vietnam and student protests, the perception regarding participation in foreign war changed, so that vets are not seen primarily as heroes anymore, but victims.
Austrian veterans went insane just like the americans? Strange.
I grew up when most vets were still alive. And they were all normal.
