but actually

This. Still, as someone who is irish (my grandmother was irish) I always thought they were cooler when they bombing you. My dad and his buddies used to give money to IRA back in the day too. Pretty neat.

Glad the Brits killed the Irish culture desu.

Ireland is already richer than the UK and after Brexit the gap will only get wider. I guess it must hurt the British people a lot.

I bully your little brother hehehehe

The prophet looks like ginger based on hadith, so I don't bully irish.

Sure they might be richer, but does it matter when your culture is such a joke that more people speak Polish than your native language?

Czy lubisz mnie?

Could you tell the Irish that.. they continue to abandon ship for the United Kingdom at an alarming rate.

I wonder how Americans feel then when more Americans speak English than American.

Native Irish culture is inherently connected with English culture and language, they don't see it as foreign. Ireland contributed a lot to English culture, per capita probably more than English people themselves.

In your wet dreams maybe, I've only seen more and more companies evacuating from London to Dublin so far.

Lubie cie

so cute

I hope you're a girl

Nie jestem :L

>Joyce
>Wilde
>Beckett
>Swift
>Shaw

that's what just came to mind and there are a lot more of them

and it's not only about literature actually

You've literally just named members of the old English ascendancy that dominated Ireland pre-independence.

Or I speak English because my ancestors came from Devon??? That is such a shitty comparison and you know it.

>this is what Little Englanders believe

>no desu

I'm sure you have as many ancestors who came from Germany, Eastern Europe, Asia or Africa too yet you don't speak their languages

>as someone who is irish (my grandmother was irish)
>paying terrorists
>muttflag

I have 5% german and like 75% english ancestry apparently. That is also why I learn German in college, but you know, you can continue to assume stuff about me. Also I don't know what the last 20% is, the courthouse ancestral records weren't clear.

I am sure you have ancestors from czechia or brandenburg, yet you don't speak czech or german I assume?

but I don't say people with a certain origin must speak the language of their ancestors

Literally every name you gave bar Joyce was of either full or partial Anglo decent and a member of an Old English family in Ireland.

Of course they don't have to, but if you want people to take you seriously as an independent culture you should probably actually have your own language.

When will the Irish learn how to build buildings?

The damp and mold is meant to be on the outside

How are you preparing for the Irish century lads?

By drowning the country before that happens.

why did half the nation reject the Treaty of 1921? It seemed pretty reasonable

:DD

kek

You just need to return Northern Ireland to them.

Would also solve the brexit problem.

>but if you want people to take you seriously as an independent culture you should probably actually have your own language.

So I understand there's no "independent American" culture, just "English culture from America"?

Yes. My point exactly.

I never said we had culture lmao. You mistakenly assumed I did.

I think most of Americans won't agree with you though.

ok...and? I cant control what they think retard polack

This is exactly what I mean.

you're just mad because Irish culture is widely associated with cool St Patrick's Day parades, while no one remembers he's of English descent in the US and there are no English Pride parades.

stay mad, Anglo protestant

Dude nobody cares about St Pats day other than to drink man. Honestly. I think it is a shame, but it is the truth. Either way I am gonna stop arguing cause I don't wanna waste my entire life on this website. And people saying they are Irish are largely LARPer Mutts. It decredits the actual Irish-Americans. If such a large amount of people claim to be Irish american when they aren't (in the case of my area) all it does is make it a bigger joke.
