That looks amazing.
What keeps the monkey masses from going to the first world parts of your country?

They go there as tourists but can't afford living there, besides there aren't many jobs in small towns and it's cold for them, though it's pretty hot today cuz it's summer.

Schist villages are very comfy-looking.

That might be the Portuguesest looking town in the world.

See that church in the background? Wanna take a look inside?

Ei! Devolve o nosso ouro.

Attached: strasburg je pennsylvania.jpg (1800x1200, 412K)

Now that you mention it, it was indeed built with smuggled gold that managed to get away from being sent to Portugal.

The town is called "ouro negro" if I recall correctly?

It's honestly a gorgeous looking church. Gold-plated churches are all so ostentatiously gaudy, but when you visit them they do feel powerful.

He is right desu

Ouro Preto actually, but gold-plated churches aren't exclusive to that city, but spread throughout the country. I know that Portugal also have these gold churches, but other than here and your country, they don't exist anywhere else.

Ouro preto, right. Ouro negro is petrol.
>but other than here and your country, they don't exist anywhere else.
Really? I thought Spain or Italy would have a couple. Although Spain is generally more architecture oriented and Italy is generally more fresco oriented.

I really like this one in Braga, with the white highlights.

Maybe they have similar architecture, but having real gold used in the ornamentation? That's a luso thing.

Portuguese style is very fancy.

Yeah, I read up on it. It's actually cheaper to build everything out of wood and gilding it than it would be to paint/sculpt it all.

I actually really like the little I know of Spanish architecture. They are a lot more inventive, whereas we just sort of picked a style that works and stuck to it for 100 years before trying something new, which is nice, but a bit boring.

The Sagrada Familia is an absolute hunk of shit, though. I really really hated it. It's big for big's sake, and has way too much shit (including bevelled words that reminded me of face-tattoos).

>The Sagrada Familia is an absolute hunk of shit
Barcelona is a steaming piece of shit.
The places to visit in this country are Cordoba and Granada then Burgos, Toledo, Santiago.

I went to Barcelona in the winter (for work), so it was quiet, and I really liked the general architecture of the city very much. I just didn't like the sagrada familia.

Santiago is lovely, but it's not really that exotic for me, as you'd imagine.

Cordoba looks pretty neat.

La Vera villages, my friend. They are next to Portugal and it's a beautiful area, imho

Did you even get anything from it? The rent is absurdly high

Hehe, they look just like regular Portuguese towns. A lot of things near Portugal do, since we share weather and materials.

I stayed in a hotel. It was just a week for a conference, so I got per diems.

My home!

Malvern is pretty underrated

That reminds me of our mountain regions for some reason

I need to visit Portugal

GUIMARAES >>>>> everything else

Is that coke?

So does someone own that tower or is it city property?

Guimarães is nice, but there's plenty of other places to see all over the country, desu. Even the meme cities like Lisbon and Porto have enough stuff to see and do to warrant a visit.

I'd rather destroy the algarves with the brits top slags there

The Algarve (we only have one left) is pretty memed. The Brits are contained in 2 or 3 towns, and everywhere else is pretty cool.

I will unleash the britoid plague from portimao and albufeira to every nice little town lad

Quite a large city in fact, but still comfy nonetheless.
