Trick question, “x” is a letter so it can’t “approach” a number
based
Whoops, the functions doesn't exist as 0 but from 1 onwards
en.wikipedia.org
If in doubt use this little hack.
I have literally forgotten everything I learned.
Positive infinity
dumb austrian the numerator doesn't approach 0
americans can't afford healthcare so they can't use this rule
Just kidding thats as x approachs 1
Then you have to use Intuition. sqrt(x) approaches 0 slower than x, so it becomes infinity.
Is it complex or real numbers though?
Is there a case where the denominator is ->0 and the limit is NOT an infinity? other than 0/0?
sin(x)/x is 1 for x->0.
L'hospital-ified:
= lim x->0 cos(x)/1 = 1
nigger just put it in a graphing calculator
It's possible that there is no limit, say sin(1/x)/x
Function doesn't exist in R. It exists as a complex number which would be infinity * e^-j(pi/4)
this is pretty trashy desu since that the fact that the derivative of sin(x) is equal to cos(x) depends on the fact that the limit sin(x)/x is equal to 1 as x approaches 0
kek
Ah yes forgot about the 'classic' sinx/x. It is still considered an indeterminate form I think.
Add the conjugate.
this thing means absolutely nothing to me, i dont understand what is going on
the root of something plus one, minus the root of something minus one divided by one?
what is even the point of this? why do you need to know this?
why? i don't get the connection, seems german tier.
For every question out there the answer is Jesus Christ.
That's assuming positive zero, negative rotates 180
>what is even the point of this?
the point is to learn what extreme cases of certain functions are
>why do you need to know this?
if you use math in your work you need this
you also need this to pass your first calculus course in uni
same
Then lim x->0 exp(x)/x = 0.
Nice quints
The joke is that hopital looks like hospital
l'hopital = the hospital
>Then lim x->0 exp(x)/x = 0.
Well imagine it is a function of the temperature in your sauna (y) and x is resistance of the heating element.
ah i've only seen %27H%C3%B4pital%27s_rule
can't read that
how about you evaluate my cock as it approaches your moms pussy lmfao
The whole equation ^2.
Name a "not trashy" example then, instead of bullying.
this
yeah the o has an accent mark and gets rendered retardedly in urls
ok, listen my german friend
e^x is going to approach 1 as x approaches 0
>tfw calculus exam on Wednesday
Well, ok. My bad.
(1-i)*infinity
so finland takes the credit for your scientific discoveries?
Well you can't take the square root of a negative number, so the function is not defined at x = 0, nor at x = 0+ or at x = 0-
All other answers are from absolute retards
he must be from /sci/. lots of bullying there and not much actual /sci/ence. i hate them.
>there only exists one branch of the complex logarithm
baka polish people
no finland just does the dabbing for me
Yeah /sci/ is a pretty horrible board. The only thing they have that's decent is a good wiki filled with textbook recommendations and resources to learn.
This user specified that the denominator must be zero
Nah, the mistake was that the limit is 1, not 0.
Because lim x->0 exp(x)/x = lim x->0 exp(x)/1 = 1
it just means that sin(x) when approches to 0 becomes really close to a linear function. It would be like asking "what the limit of x/x when it's approaching 0"?
>the limit of x as x approaches 0 is equal to 1
>tfw solved the equation and some retards are still discussing
>equation
Why? The denominator is still zero? So the limit is infinity?
1 or plus infinite
Keep crying dog
Shut the fuck up retard how's that even a logarithm fuck you just plug a fucking zero everywhere and flip sqrt(-1) into j.
Nothing in that anons post is wrong
>using j for the imaginary unit
spotted the enginigger
I am sorry for wanting to feed my family and not blow up my circuits I will actually learn math after I have a job.
>j
hello incel
>Shut the fuck up retard how's that even a logarithm fuck you just plug a fucking zero everywhere and flip sqrt(-1) into j.
Have you finished first grade yet? The square root on complex numbers is defined by exp(log(x)/2) which gives different results depending on the choice of logarithm.
>j
praca w ENEI już ugrana?
Just messing with you senpai i'm a ME.
it's 1 because the 0 that approches is not actually 0 but something that tends to 0, and something divided by itself is always 1. Grab a fucking book brainlets.
Yes, I'm just stupid, just as Snow-Mohammad suggested :(
In this case product rule is the right one.
Wait a moment how is -1 a complex number? The square root is a negative not a complex number.
Kill yourselves bunch of nerds
>The square root is a negative not a complex number.
I mean shit under square root is a negative number. Only the result is complex number.
>brainlet, the thread
Wowzers lads.
j master race here
fock the i virgins
shut the fuck up
