I never understood how it was accepted to "be a teacher" on the basis of simply being a native speaker, it was obvious they were going to crack down on it eventually.
The thing is places like south korea there are already significant amount of people who already speak english very well so you need higher qualifications now to become a teacher. China tho you dont because majority of them cant even speak a lick of it.
