- Nobody would ever share a profitable secret with you, unless they have something to gain by doing so. - If there is no consequence for lying about something, assume somebody is lying about that thing. Especially if they stand to gain by doing so. - About 90% of humanity are in more desperate conditions than you, and will do anything (anything) if it means potentially escaping their tortuous lives. They don't care if it ruins you. - They are not your friend unless you have bled together, or shared significant life experiences together (weddings, tragedies, etc.). - Most people are very stupid. Always remember this when you begin to experience FOMO (fear of missing out), or are about to jump on a bandwagon. You may be reacting to the actions of idiots. - If they use an exclamation point in online communication, then they are either retarded, trying to sell you something, or being ironic. It's an obsolete punctuation in this medium, and is only used to emotionally manipulate a reader (something there is no real reason to ever do).
All of Trump's tweets are emotionally manipulative or trying to sell me something. Check

The only important lesson is your first point. Everything else is shit.
Anthony Mitchell
Thanks for your help!
Ayden Cook
>emotionally manipulative yeah...definitely obviously care to refute any of the points you feel are shit?
Brody Campbell
>significant life experience >wedding Stopped reading.
Bentley Johnson
yeah solid points OP but >wedding? come on nigger

You don't think being invited to a friends wedding, or inviting them in turn is an important sign of trust and respect? They intend to introduce you to their family and their spouse. It's not a casual thing, my man. There are very few other life events more important that you can just invite people you care about to, to show them that your relationship is important to you.

>There is nothing better than getting shot at and missed. It’s really great.
So if my coworker invited me and everyone in the office to their wedding we're best friends forever?
Wyatt Foster
>One guy once drastically increase a toothpaste company's sales by millions of dollars in a matter of weeks without spending money on gimmicks like new flavors or an expensive ad campaign or a product line extension. It took only one minor tweak to a machine - his secret? >"Make the hole wider" >Carl Ichan said the two biggest since in life and business are to act precipitously without reason and to not act at all >An ancient Greek philosopher said that generally people don't hide good things about themselves but plenty of people pretend to have good things they don't actually possess >If you're ever wasting time or money on a woman ask yourself "apart from fucking me, what else does she give me?". Does she buy you dinner? Does she drive you to work? Does she provide sage advice and wisdom and helps you be the best person you can be? Or are you just hoping she fucks you? >"Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan"
And most important of all >Try to act with purpose on every little thing you do. Make sure that even taking the garbage out contributes to something important in your life. Don't do anything unless it's important. If nothing feels important - figure out what's fucking important (to you)! I'm not heeding that last piece of advice right now. True.
Brandon Scott
Thank you! There's an user I know that got meme'd by TA. He thinks it's fucking gospel and won't do anything until the TA he is looking at happens. If I were making TA for retards I would purposely make it wrong to fuck anyone who follows it to ensure I can get out at the top and buy at the bottom. People are inherently shitty when it comes to making money. Stop following TA. The market is going to either go up or down. Nobody fucking knows.
>I'm not heeding that last piece of advice right now. True. Could it be that you're trying to help anons? well I liked your tips thanks lad
Wyatt Clark
you are being facetious friend - > true friend requires shared life experiences that build trust, that is my only point >Carl Ichan said the two biggest since in life and business are to act precipitously without reason and to not act at all this is an awesome one >If you're ever wasting time or money on a woman ask yourself "apart from fucking me, what else does she give me?". Does she buy you dinner? Does she drive you to work? Does she provide sage advice and wisdom and helps you be the best person you can be? Or are you just hoping she fucks you? This is also a good one, but a woman can morph into something more than just a fucking machine if you penetrate far enough into the business or political world. I would forgo sex with my partner if she was beautiful, capable, and supported my work relationships in a meaningful way (events, dinners, etc.).
Henry Price
That is what I would like to believe, yes, but also it may be self-serving like the old adage >The advice you give is often the advice you most need to hear yourself I'll think about that.
>but a woman can morph into something more than just a fucking machine if you penetrate far enough into the business or political world Yes, but it's a glib basic litmus test to remind one not to be intimidated by an attractive woman.
Jack Kelly
I like this one also. I have seen combat and after being shot at quite a lot for several months, nothing else in life really seems like a big deal. Nothing else really makes you feel quite as alive as being under fire and having to acknowledge your mortality. Now whenever some shit is happening in my life I think to myself: "Is this worse than being shot at and mortared?" "Is this worse than creeping along an IED infested valley road, hoping EOD has its shit together and cleaned it out?" Nothing really comes close, so its easy to remain calm and collected even when some stuff that normies cant handle is going on. Being shot at and missed is life changing.
Thomas Torres
>hoping EOD has its shit together Most unhinged people I've ever met in my life.

I love you!

>Not everything that matters can be measured, and not everything that can be measured matters. >You can’t manage what you can’t measure >People do what you INSPECT not what you EXPECT >the squeaky wheel gets the grease To affect change on something you need to measure where it was and how prove whether or not it's moved, it's quite easy to argue that it was that way yesterday or that it's changed a lot since yesterday if no one measured it yesterday. However be careful about where and how you measure things, least they become targets for manipulation (remember Campbell's Law - a IQ tests are victims of their own success and can only really tell you how good someone is at taking IQ tests). Give bonuses based on who stays in the office the latest, employees start coming early? Start giving bonuses to who stays at the office the longest - suddenly productivity per hour drops. On the flip side work saved or work avoided never is understood or acknowledged as much as work done - people only know what they can see. I haven't heard anything about Lady Gaga in the last few years, is she still around? Probably. But if she's out of sight, she's out of mind. Same with you and your manager, if he doesn't see the work you're doing, if you don't tell him - unless they're measuring for it - they don't know how hard you are or aren't working.

I will never blame EOD dudes for being weird as fuck. Thankfully our guys were true professionals and never let us down. They did throw a robot down the side of a mountain one time because it had some problem and they were tired and fed up of fixing it, and command made us go fetch the pieces since we couldn't leave the parts out to get picked up by hajis. We wanted to just blow it up but the thing shattered and its components were spread across a few hundred feet of 45 degree incline rocks and dirt. Se spent 8 hours out there, and then we piled the pieces we found up and blew it up with c4 anyways.
