No sorry, I'm making it a weekly thing with a review of the whole week in memes and may mays, but instead of just me talking over a screen we go on an adventure outside somewhere comfy
My portfolio is constructed such I can invest $100, and in a few years, if the S&P 500 index or whatever is up, the I get back more than $100, based on some multiple of the index’s performance. If the index is down, though, the I get back $100. Heads I win, tails I don’t lose: I get a guaranteed return of my principal plus some extra money if the stock market does well.

That's brilliant.

>monacoin Monacoin users have brought up various kinds of Mona-based web applications and services, have erected shrines in appreciation of Monacoin, regularly play word games when tipping others (known as "monage" (モナゲ, lit. "throwing mona")), and otherwise use the coin in ways users of most other coins would never have thought of.
>july 6 calls back to posotive what does that mean
Evan Sullivan
:^) just a flat 10% commission and I can do the same for your portfolio to user
i mean its really simple, just take $100, buy T bills with maturity value of $100 (that probably cost about $95) then buy options with the remaining $5. you're guaranteed to end up with at least $100, more if stocks go up.
Jackson Wright
rkg HOW do you have such an extensive and specific collection of death related anime? Are you getting it off a booru? Your ratposting is concerning.

It means I had bought TSLA calls for $350 that expire July 6.
They had been up to 27, from where I bought them. I held and got shit on when TSLA fell back to 333, now it's back to positive.
Statistically when it was 333-ish and high volatility I still had a very low chance of them worth shit and not just declining if we went off pure math analysis.

Let's suppose I know that stock X is currently at 50 dollars, and I know it will be between $40 and 60 dollars in 3 months. Is there any option strategy that I can use to capitalize off this range?

If that's all you want then just buy some small acreage out in the country (5-20 acres).
>cows don't do it as a hobby, it's a money losing proposition on a small scale and they require a ton of acreage, do goats or sheep instead
>chickens Easy as shit to take care of, just build a coop, set up some automatic waterers, and feed them some henscratch and laying pellets every day and gather the eggs. Worm them a couple of times a year and check them for leg mites and other parasites. Turn them loose in the yard in the evenings when you can keep an eye on them and close them back up at night.
>horses Just don't, they cost even more money and require even more acreage per animal than cows and they aren't worth anywhere near as much at the sale barn.
>rabbits Pretty cheap and easy animals to take care of if you want to have a ready supply of meat. Keep a breeding stock of 2-4 does and 1 buck, eat the babies. Some of the newer meat varieties have large litters and the bunnies reach edible size in just a few weeks.
It's not hard, you'll learn as you go along. As long as you're handy with basic tools and do most of your repair / building / projects yourself then you shouldn't have any issues. There are tons of resources for any kind of animal you want to raise or any kind of plant you want to grow in your garden / orchard. Agriculture extension services are great starting places.
This is assuming you want something like a hobby farm where you're not reliant on generating income from it though, if you're wanting to actually become a profitable farmer then you'll have to really know your shit and optimize your operations to a ridiculous degree to remain profitable.

>TSLA goes up $7 >delta and gamma doing their fucking thing
See, I'd rather just intuitively break it down. It's very simple actually. I don't necessarily need a calculator to understand it. Plus an intuitive vision of the problem is faster computationally.
In a competitive game. I want every edge possible. Following established domain knowledge actually decreases my predictive accuracy and lowers ROI.
Thomas Jackson
I'm actually dyspraxic and can't even drive a car but idc I want a farm with chickens and plants . Also holy shit :333 isaved your post this is insanely good. We're you raised on a farm?
For isntance the +10 run on AMD that's coming later this year. No one else sees it because of bad predictive models. My seeing it gives me a nice competitive advantage.
I would not see it if I used the same predictive functions as the market.

big buzzer orders for oil and silver. looks like someone else is looking for a gap too
oil im more skeptical on, and think will dip before it gets back to its highs of this year. very confident that silvers action near close shows a nice run in the near term however
