This is one of the main highways in northeastern Congo, between the cities of Bafwasende and Kisangani. Say something nice about it, Jow Forums.

OP, you posted a pic of a Russian road, pay more attention next time
Well, I guess the people seem friendly.
why are they all black?
Well, it's hard to make a road with only two pick axes
Because it's Russia???
>brown color instead of boring gray
>developers always doing test work on the roads, probably to measure the quality of your vehicle, to see if it fulfills Congolese export regulations
>it has literal pools on the middle of the road
I see nothing wrong here
jokes on you they're currently doing cone penetrometer test, congo superpower by 2050
Atleast they don't exceed the budget
A ditch design in a rainforest seems like an awful idea
Probably more durable than our roads.
you can't blame them. Roads in the central african jungle are probably hard to maintain.
There's a fourm posts somewhere of two white frogs who decided to cross Congo completely by car, absolute madlads
>clay-lined ditch
That will be a decent canal in 6 months. Maybe we should sell them barges?
are they building it right now or what is going on?
there's almighty Fuso in background
yeah let's pretend that the congo wasn't ravaged by two brutal and exhausting wars
>probably
They are hard. It's like trying to build a road in the amazon. Just slightly easier, since it's smaller and less deadly animals. But deadlier people
This is great thanks for postan
Fucking balls on them
I probably would have pussied out or ended up macheted for not paying the bribe
It looks safer than an Indian road
animals
Don't tell me. Roads in Amazon are so shitty we still cant reach the northern states capitals by car. Roraima and Amapá survive on plane and ship cargo. The transamazon was basically abandoned.
just burn down the paths and build roads on it
Reminds me of that Grand Tour thing where they transport fish
They at lest used some big foot truck or at least a Land Rover Defender for the task? I would not risk even if i had this, and if they don't rob me, this shit is supposedly undestructible.
Looks like Russia to be honest.
Congo Forest is the last rainforest of the planet without much studies about it. I can't imagine the kind of deadly shit that is there. Remember, Ebola came from this forest. And actual chimps are fucking aggressive.
Toyota Landcrusier, which is just about the best off-road vehicle you can get.
They demand you pay them.

It is not easy. The soil of rainforests is very fragile. Without the trees, the erosion makes it first deep mud, after it becomes sand. There is no way to maintain the asphalt because the constant rain dissolves rapidly . Besides, the forest grows fast as shit. 10 years and a road disapears completely. We had a famous rail road from Bolivia to the Acre. This shit killed more than 50.000 thousand people to build. Before it was completed, the forest already had removed the tracks from the place and no train could pass.
>Toyota Landcrusier
The classic or the fag ass modern SUV ?
The proper version by the looks of it. You should read the thread for yourself, it's a great read.
Indian roads aren't actually bad
Africa is like some sort of post apocalypse dystopia where they've lost how to build technology and are just left with all the old stuff that was left before everything went to shit
Literally nothing wrong with people trying to improve their country, unless other peiple's money is at stake.
I had many adventures like this when I was a kid. My relatives were crazy. We had to make a 5 day trip on a shitty bus from the South with shitty roads like this to arrive at the Amazon where I grew up. This shit here is still the most common way the hillbilies move around the forest. It's suspension its around 3 meters from the ground.
Good read about the realities of Africa and what Africans are like.
I can't even imagine what it would be like to live like that, it's no wonder everyone wants to immigrate here.
hahahaha how the fuck is that hard, just chop down the trees nigga hahha
not a single speed camera in sight
>Before it was completed, the forest already had removed the tracks from the place and no train could pass.
Holy shit! did not know.
First good, insightful post I've ever read from someone posting with your flag (no offense meant)
They prefer to invest in aircraft instead of roads.
