Nobody's disputing the basic thermodynamics, what you morons don't get is that the human brain is a crucial part of this process. You can diet the hard way by actually counting calories or you can just change the way you eat and see your body adjust to wanting only the right amount of calories naturally.

I am currently doing a three day water fast. Haven't eaten for 34 hours now. Eating is overrated. After this i'm gonna change to a medieterrean style diet and ignore all there is of sugar and processed foods.

you can eat a huge dinner that is worth 800kcal and be full for many hours or consume the same amount of calories from a bar of chocolate and few candies and be hungry again after 30 minutes

Whenever I eat more than 1500 kcal I start gaining weight. In order to lose any weight I´d need to stay below 1.1-1.2k calories for months, that shit sucks.

i don't eat much sugar at all or even like soft drinks. I don't even have it in tea and i drink a shit load of that.
but im still a fat shit because i naturally want to eat a lot of savoury food and also drink a lot of beer because its my only form of social interaction, i don't like wine and spirits are expensive and tie into mixers again in a social setting.
