Help me, Finns

I'm going to be moving to Finland in the next two years to live with my Gf and go to Uni. Any top tier tips for me?

I grew up in phoenix where I'm accustomed to 40C weather, so I know the winter is going to fuck me, but is there anything else to be prepared for?

Going to Helsinki btw. Kamppi area

Be prepared to fuck boypussy. In Helsinki especially it is considered rude and awkward to not indulge in boypussy whenever it is offered to you.

If you tell people you meet that you're Canadian they'll be friendlier to you

If you tell people you meet that you're Mexican they'll be friendlier to you

Loneliness and depression are the things that await you. Also if your gf is a finn, you'll break up before you even get the chance to get here

If youre going to a uni the situation will resolve itself if you have any social skills

Just don't be too overwhelming with the smalltalk because that makes people uncomfortable

But we're full.
I am very sorry.

are you casting a curse on him?

as someone else who was raised in arizona, you will never get over it. Even though I'm 6 foot 3 and kinda fat and wear three coats, my teeth and body will be chattering and shaking like I'm fucking dying if it's sub 40F(5C)

Don't get stabbed by arabs. Also if you want too experience what Finland is actually like, go visit other cities and towns.

this is Helsinki weather right now my good man

>living in h*lsinki
i'm so sorry for you

curious, are there any mexicans in frozen autism land?

>I am very sorry.
No fuck off, we are full, but rather a very sorry.

You guys are to autistic for your own good.

I know for certain there's someone with my last name there, so there might be a bunch at least.

be ready to see a lot of brown people

>how to do biggest mistake of my life
>

I mean, do you see our fucking flag up there? He is from Arizona.

I'm well aware that you guys are pretty autistic; is DnD popular over there? I've always wanted to dabble in it but I can never find a competent DM.

A few weeks ago my Gf actually saw a guy get stabbed at the railway station.

>uncannyvalley
Yellow subhumans actually look like this, so there's nothing uncanny here.

>Kamppi area
I'm sorry for you. You should get accustomed to gypsy beggars, immigrants and obnixious teenagers

Don't expect anything better from Finland than Kamppi.

Sounds like LA except the gypsy beggars are drug addicts and asylum cases.

>Going to Helsinki btw.
Helsinki is not Finland.

Well I can't fucking understand Rally, and I'm not going to fucking Turku.

>Sounds like LA
Essentially

Be also prepared for political rallies and demonstrations in Narikkatori, especially since there's an election coming in april

Don't get stabbed by arabs

He's only saying this so he can stab you himself, OP, don't fall for it. There's a reason why a knife fight is also known as the 'finnish conversation'/

>Helsinki

Eh. I understand why every non-Finnish chooses that at first but Tampere really is the better option. Or any other city for that matter.
Also don't try smalltalk outside of Uni.

>I'm not going to fucking Turku
why not? afraid of fennoswedes?

Turku is only 5% swedish speaking. I lived in Sipoo, which is 50% .

>Sipoo
*Sibbo :DDD

>Tampere

Harsh winters are not typical in southern Finland. You'll be ok. Altough Helsinki is humid and windy so it still feels nasty.
There will also be lots of alcohol compared to states. Especially at uni.
And then there is the long polar night. Imagine that you go to work and it's dark and when you get home it's dark again

What the fuck was his problem, was he autistic? He seems like one of those really chill guys that would suddenly stab you 17 times after an argument.

Attached: 13123131.png (769x960, 173K)

Why?
Why do tard feel like they have to go abroad to """"find themselves"""" and learn about other cultures. What was so unmanageable about arizona that your tard ass had ti be dragged here with your tard gf?

Go back fucking your sister pönde

Good luck OP, hopefully you will decide to stay permanently!

Only people I know who play it are the biggest nerds. Fun people though if you can handle the autism. You should recognize them

Also don't believe the autism meme. Normies are still as normie here as anywhere else. The social rules and norms are just different and unspoken

go back to the africa nigger

Watch out for a place called itäkeskus, never know when that place may blow up

>le autismos xDDDDDDD XDDDDD
why are finnshits like this?

Attached: 1545982920337.png (1006x906, 358K)

Don't respond, he makes this thread with a different country all the time

This, pic related

Attached: itis.jpg (700x393, 82K)

finnshits should be killed on sight
i hope this amerimutt brings his whole family and defiles all the finnish genes with his blackness

Could be real. There was an American on Jow Forums who moved to Poland without speaking the language just to sit inside and shitpost all day.

Did he give proof of that? I only saw a screencap of the OP.

Go to Åbo university so you actually can communicate with people

>40C weather,
wtf

Yes. I told one "build wall" and asked him for money for it.

>winter is going to fuck me
>Kamppi
Half of the place is literally underground so weather has low impact.

The eternal Swede. He brings immigrants he brings war!

You keep advertising how great your country is to the whole wide world and you can just wait and see what happens.

You'll be fine. Everyone is usually nice and willing to help and Kamppi is a nice central location to stay. I highly recommend you go see Lapland. I went for a 50 mile hike over there in the very north and it was so amazing, never knew my country had all this to offer.

DnD actually is very popular, even amongst semi-normies. You can probably find players at the uni

I was on a bus in Lauttasaari and there was a Mexican 'le brutal edgy metalhead' cunt shouty and singing Slayer songs trying to bond with Finns. I wanted to deck the beaner twat.

Why didn't you?

ebin

learn swedish. they have it mandatory and hate it

>saying anything, let alone sing in a Helsinki bus

Oof, yikes, etc. Also as a heads up for OP, communication with strangers on public transport is strictly limited to gestures and grunts.

Why would anyone talk with strangers on a bus anyway?

It pays for the rest of Finland though

what the fuck

Buy a fucking winter jacket and don't do your american smalltalk thing to strangers and you will be fine.

based

based mexicans

unironically comfy

why are fins so scared of smalltalk? i thought it was a meme but it's been mentioned multiple times in this thread already

Why would you ever talk to random people without any real reason? It's just weird

based. i don't like it either. just want to be left alone

sometimes it's nice depending on the situation. not awkward "h-hows the weather? h-haha" type of exchanges but banter like. i dont usually engage but it's nice to know you can talk to someone without him recoiling and thinking you're weird

What will you be studying

>He moves in to Herlsinki

Thats like living in Sweden.

Cover your knees

I wish Helsinki would just become independent and let those ungrateful fucks on the countryside starve.

The swimming center is alright if you go there on weekdays before 4 pm.

i hope you know helsinki makes most its money by shuffling papers at offices while the actual productive work is done elsewhere

Nobody in this damn country does anything productive.

listen to this in your sleep every night before you leave, guaranteed fluency in finnish language and culture

1. Learn at least some basic Finnish.

2. Do not criticize Finland openly even though you'll probably learn from day one that this place sucks.

3. Just be your American self. We Finns usually like Americans.

What are you even going to talk about with a stranger. You don't know anything about each other and don't know if you would even like one another if you did know something about them

The production can be done anywhere. Nokia produces its phones in China

I moved to Finland one year ago and it was the best decision ever

>I'm going to be moving to Finland in the next two years to live with my Gf and go to Uni. Any top tier tips for me?

Literally the same position as you.

My condolences.

Finland is a country of very little convenience, everything closes early compare to the US though it's not as bad as Italy at least. Also enjoy being the swarthiest motherfucker around.

>Going to Helsinki btw. Kamppi area

Mad jelly, how the fuck can you afford to live there?

Tarina?

agree

Oh shit
Is this the big fucking favela-box of an apartment?
Pretty ebin

Apartments cost pretty much the same anywhere in the city, give or take a hundred

Where do you live? I have a 24-7 convenience store across the street, and a 24-7 Citymarket™ five minutes away

Tamperelainen opiskelija-asuntorakennus. En muista tarkkaa nimeä, mutta varsin tunnettu ja nettisivut löytyy

Vantaa

Everything over 600

Everything over 600/mth is pricey as fuck to me as a student considering I can have it for less in southern Europe.

I'm sorry

Students are a different matter entirely
