>be 20 yo zoomer >see overwatch launch trailer >immediately realise it was going to be a giga success, just "feel" it >all in blizzard >$20k to $60k >play pubg back in june last year >immediately realise it was going to be the most important game this decade >sell all blizzard go all in bluehole (company which owns it) >now sitting at about 500k
Seriously, it's that easy. The people who normally invest don't play vidya so you're like a genius.
What sort of retard would think overwatch would flop? PUBG was very unexpected, but what sort of retard wouldn't expect it to be a giga hit? No-on but the boomers who normally invest and don't play vidya
Because I actually like video games and encouraging money-making business practices by supporting those public companies goes against my interests of having fun vidya

Wish I had more money when WoW came out. Instantly knew when I played the beta that it was going to be huge.
Henry Campbell
I feel like in the next economic downturn game stocks are gonna take a beating but I also feel they're going to be a good buy purely because I'd consider them to be a depression stock people are gonna buy and play more games maybe?
Kevin Green
lol
Out of curiosity why didn't you go for pubg?
Wyatt Lopez
This. I immediately knew pokecuck go would be a huge success. Wish I woulda invested. Whats the next catch user?
Thomas Miller
I mean I'm not considering this, I'm just buying the very obvious hits before they get big. This is much easier. Basically just checking the early access stuff which makes it onto the steam top 30

>tfw reaction times are too slow to 1CC DoDonpachi without chugging several cans of Monster since I reached Boomerhood
I don't know, just didn't seem that great to me and didn't expect it to be that succesful. I think it was mostly hyped up by streamers and not because the game itself was that great. The same is happening with Fortnite imo.
Xavier Turner
Yeah I get what you're saying I'm just thinking out loud. I think it might be a decent strategy. I see it as being similar to buying McDonald in economic downturns.
Elijah Martinez
Unfortunately I think it's going to be literally nothing but battle royales/pubg clones for at least a year, and games which aren't won't sell due to everyone wanting battle royale. Imo nothing upcoming stands out even ignoring this issue.
Oh fair enough, I definitely didn't expect it to get this big just knew it was going to be very important. The solo adrenaline was the thing which really stood out to me, and it was also the most fun I had with friends since halo reach.
I think streamers did help a lot, although that's just because they saw the potential with the tension as well. If it was crap and just played due to streamers it would have died ages.
With fortnite I think it was incredibly obvious it would become ultra popular, simply due to no pubg/battle royale on console. I also think they're both dead in their current states when "battlefield royale" and similar come out.
Christian Russell
id do this but im a terrible judge of whats going to be popular, when i first saw pubg i thought it looked like some unity garbage knockoff of a knockoff of a knockoff of an arma 2 mod of a minecraft mod of a shitty movie. then like a month later this garbage is everywhere and i dont know where it came from, exact same thing happened with fortnight and all the other garbage that gets popular.
i feel like investing in anything that looks like garbage isnt a good idea tho
Bluehole isn't a public company you larping faggot.
Anthony Rivera
how did you invest in a private company like bluehole?
Austin Anderson
I invested in Paragon because it has actual graphics.
Jonathan Roberts
didn't that game fail?
Tyler Allen
>Not investing in epic games Lol faggot. I quadrupled my money when fortnight came out. I knew that game would've been an instant hit.
Joseph Sullivan
Yea, maybe It's because I'm almost 30 year-old boomer now, but PUBG and Fortnite just didn't seem that great to me at all. I was obviously wrong of course. But something like WoW and Overwatch I was almost 100% sure would be huge.
Ryan Perry
>id do this but im a terrible judge of whats going to be popular, when i first saw pubg i thought it looked like some unity garbage knockoff of a knockoff of a knockoff of an arma 2 mod of a minecraft mod of a shitty movie. Did you play it? I thought the same before I did.
>exact same thing happened with fortnight Just consider the markets a bit, this was obvious before it even came out.
>pubg biggest game in the world >not on console, no alternatives on console >alternative gets announced Although I think it's pretty good, even if it was absolute crap it would have been a hyper success just due to this. The boomers also knew this tho.
>i feel like investing in anything that looks like garbage isnt a good idea tho Only go for something your sure about. You're only going to get the insane gains with the stff like pubg but it's more risky. AAA stuff like overwatch is safer as it will do ok for a while even if it's crap, but is less likely to stun the boomers
Ryder Foster
I never understood this. I'm better at vidya at 30 than I ever was in my teens or early 20's. Every game I play I'm above average or better. Am I just lucky?
Ayden Cooper
>For every 15 years after the age of 24, cognitive speed dropped by around 15 per cent.
Dude, 30 isn't THAT old lol :D. The 30-year old boomer memes are fucking with your head.
Ian Sanchez
>sell all blizzard go all in bluehole >went all in a private company nice larp nigger
