A lot of people define the generation as being born between the early 80s and late 90s. Also, I grew up mostly without iShit and 500+ TV channels until I was a teenager. I remember the early 2000s pretty well.

We had the two national channels (which we still call "enka" and "dvojka" after their positions), three commercial channels (the one under number three appropriately called TV3), two local channels and one Italian and one Croatian channel. My grandma had satellite which was mindblowing to me when I was little. I spent hours watching Super RTL (German channel).

70's popular music wasn't very novel save a few artists. the very late 80s and 90s was probably the best time for popular music from grunge/alt rock to hip hop. Alternative rock is still going good to this day.
