Non-Americans of Jow Forums, tell me about the trips to America you've had
I've been to the US once, to LA. I basically roamed around Venice Beach and talked to people, for 10 days. People treated me fine there (mostly they didn't know I was a tourist, probably because LA has so many peculiar people) and I liked the city very much. Smoked the best weed of my life there and finally got to taste all them american foods I'd seen so much on tv - they were great for the first couple days, then I was craving for some real food. I also got a feeling of 'fakeness' from what I saw, as if that society was more about image, than actually fulfilling one's existencial ends.
In short, it was very interesting to get to know real americans a little better beyond the meme, even though the Angeleans surely don't represent all the peoples from the US.
>'fakeness' from what I saw, as if that society was more about image, than actually fulfilling one's existencial ends
Ignoring it being in Los Angeles you went to a tourist area. Those never feel real.
I've only went once to meet my relatives there but it was 14 years ago. Visited New York, Boston and Rhode Island. New York was pretty much how I imagined it. Boston more "european" I don't know how to explain. Rhode Island was pretty boring and strange but I still saw some cool things
The first time I saw a tranny was in New Orleans.
Its the holy land for revolvers.
...
America food is generally of poor quality. Americans are really nice friendly people generally ( except Californians, fuck that state and those arrogant cunts ) and you have beautiful sights to see once you get out of the cities.
Too many black people tho.
fucking wh*te subhumans
I didn't go to any tourist attractions (went once Hollywood's walk of fame, just because), and got to talk to many different people, including hobos and ordinary passers by. But you're probably right though, I do have the feeling that I've only scratched the surface of those people. Still, that was the impression I got.
There were lots of black people everywhere and that really made me uncomfortable.
I visited Detroit 3 times in the late 90s to attend DEMF
Really? I didn’t think foreigners would visit there.
Stay the fuck out of Massachusetts, commie
visited 4 times.
Charlotte and Columbia - business trips
Fort Lauderdale - to visit friend
Negroes
fat people
people love fried and fatty food
DEMF was special
I visited Florida a few years ago, as I won a nationwide english competition and the prize was a trip to Disneyworld. Quite nice.
I've also been to NYC and Boston. Lots of good areas in both cities, but I preferred New York.
Venice Beach is a tourist attraction.
> I also got a feeling of 'fakeness'
This sounds like my experience going to LA being t there for a month. It's a strange place unlike any other. The shear amount of people and all those failed and unfulfilled dreams and people looking to move up in life gives it a weird vibe. I didn't know who was real or not. Very comfortable weather, but I would not want to live there
"I've went"

?
Gotta hide your boypussy?
This food would feed my family for a fortnite.
Went skying in Vermont when I was 5, was pretty magical.
Other than that I have only been once, when I was 16 I went to NY to visit a friend. I had quite a bit of culture shock. Up until that point I thought people on American tv shows were just playing silly unrealistic characters, and of course that is true to an extent, but I couldn't get over how people talked just like the characters on tv. Maybe it was a New York thing.
I went to a real high school party with my friend, which was really cool. Again quite like the movies. Everyone was friendly and polite. The kids there appeared at once more and less mature than Irish kids, they had good manners, and sounded responsible, but also kiddish, as if they were still in the depths of gestation at 16/17, where Irish kids were more outwardly 'finished'.
I got in a fight with a fella at the party, because I was drunk, and when he asked me who I was I said 'your moma', which, however silly, did offend him greatly.
Also went to a Jets game, and tailgated, drinking beer and eating lovely hotdogs. The game itself was shite, but the whole experience was enjoyable, and insightful; the lengths that people go to in America to construct something as trivial as drinking before a football game was amazing.
America is a special place. prosperous, but never completely boring. Everything feels temporary, a society built like a makeshift camp, ready at a moments notice to pack up and rearrange itself.
What?
I am a German visiting here, in Washington DC. I must say the memes about the US are only half true, and that America is truly better in every respect than the sh*thole I and all other europeans call home. The food. The culture. The legal system. It's like the UK but 100x better although admittedly more blacks which is sad but the BASEDness of the whites more than makes up for it.
Our "legal" system is awful.
As a Norwegian visiting here I must say that I am sorry for bullying Americans on Jow Forums previously. I had no idea how incredible they are in real life. They are so polite, funny, masculine/feminine (for guys/girls respectively), intelligent, and cultured, it really puts my home town to shame. I wish I could immigrate here. I've visited most other countries in Europe too and must say nothing compares. Good job Americans and good job Donald Trump!
i have an uncle that works in the us and he hates it because it's full of dumb niggers and fat people
he's from europe though i tell him to come to brazil if he wants to see dumb niggers
Yes but compared to my native Germany where you go to prison for saying non violent "hate speech" on twitter and you can't defend yourself it is much better.
Biggest surprise was how shit the coffee was
Even the shittiest cafes here have barista made coffee but in nice american places you only got the option of regular filtered coffee, decaf filtered coffee or hazelnut filtered coffee
This was just in California though so maybe the rest of the country is different I don't know
I am a French tourist visiting NYC. It's overpriced but I guess you Americans can afford it since your economy is so much stronger and more capitalist than France, where I come from. Thank you America for existing and I apologize for not being polite to you on the internet. The memes are definitely not true.
Inspiring post
What kind of bullshit is this? In restaurants you get the option of decaf or normal and you add your own milk cream and sugar (though honestly anything but black or black with milk/cream makes you a faggot) but any hotel, 7eleven or actual coffee place will have the whole range of options though admittedly all filtered coffee.
I'll never go to the US though I am intrigued by certain places. You have beautiful natural parks but I am probably on many lists just for regularly shitposting on Jow Forums already.
I am a Japanese man visiting Oregon for fun. Wow, you are all so big and strong and intelligent! Not like on TV. I love America! It has much better food and people and economy than Japan where I am from
Our drinking laws are aweful here.
Smoking laws are awful too.
Idiots make casino age 21 like drinking.
Cops will pull you over for even looking at them.
If you are deaf, it guarantees you will be shot by a cop.
No muzzies please. Stay out (though i probably don't have to tell you since you're too poor to travel to a first world country)
Norwegian user here. I disagree, your laws are very reasonable and it's so cool how you have constitutional limits on government power protecting your rights to freedom of speech and firearms, unlike in the rest of the world. I used to think it's weird to say but now I agree: GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Went there 2011, everyone was niggers. Don't plan on going back.
But I'm not communist. Also I doub't I'll go there again.
kek sorry tb h its the opposite problem I had to learn too many languages
I was there on a big roadtrip, visited 30 states
I love it and want to go back next summer hopefully
