Hello, I am going to be a foreign exchange student next year (I am 18 from the USA). I am trying to pick between Finland and Croatia. Any advice about these 2 countries? Note that it is not important to learn the language before I get there and most expenses will be paid. You can post jokes and stuff but please try to give me real advice

Depending where in the states you are from, Finland could teach you a lot of new stuff. The winters are harsh, cold and very little sunlight, while summers are the opposite, hot and the sun barely sets. There's plenty of nature and culture to enjoy. Everything is pretty expensive, but it's also a really really safe country to be staying in.

Croatia would probably be an easier place to go since the climate and culture is probably more similiar to what you're used to.
