Can I understand basic Japanese in 5 months?

Should I even start if I don't expect I'll have the willpower to study it every day? I can really only have 1 interest at a time, maybe 2.

You can understand basic japanese in 48 hours. They're called set phrases for tourists so they can find a place to shit or where the train station is. Or if you're american, how to not be so loud

5 month is not enough to understand Shinkai's movie. maybe small part, but now whole part.

I bet its more difficult for language learners to understand what 3y/o saying .
3y/o 's a bit sophisticated babbling should be the basic of language, but learners assume its better to learn slight a different shits, ((the small beings don't even know grammar, though)) , from infant talk.
I as an English learner gave it a try with yt vid , the attempt completely fucked me down .
but then I thought this must be the text for beginners. they speak shits out loud without consideration. so their words expose their inside as it is.
