mostly minorities have local versions of cheeses
the universal cheese in our country is "rossiyski" literally just a very mild and a bit higher density version of tilsiter
forgot pic
We have a really nice one called Caboc. It's a soft cheese, rolled in oats and cracked pepper.
We make dickcheese and sell it as a delicacy
Damn this looks expensive
>mostly minorities have local versions of cheeses
Do russians not like cheese?
I had this one, it was quite good though a little too creamy for me
Around 30€
great cheese. we are one of the big cheese-making countries, that's why the B*lgians call us cheeseheads.
My favorite cheese is one that was originally made to circumvente the ban on dutch cheese under Louis XIV
This is my favorite cheese, say something nice about it
>imagine wrapping your cheese in plastic
we got coon, some brie's n shit like that. bega cheese.
wankers are real big on their cheese culture over here. everything is "artisanal" and when you walk into a cheese shop they got little bread things and olive oil and shit like that and they wax lyrical about "rich earthy notes with a bergamot palate and an air of superiority"
Most Known is 'Manchego'. But they are a wide variety across the country.
What's the one with the charcoal streak called? It's amazing but I can't remember the name.
This is typical of my Canton (or Northern Italy) if made with goat milk its so strong you have to eat it with honey kek
Nicht nur Belgier, Käskopp.
It's whiter than you (Mohammed)
I don't know why gruyere became so famous I don't even like it t bh. Any Alp cheese is better imo
i love brie especially washed rind brie and this style. as far as i'm concerned, the stronger the aroma, the tastier it is. it is so hard to find good ones here though.
that looks very appetizing i would eat that!
this too!
A lot of cheese with truffles end up looking like that. Brillat-savarin? Crémeux de Bourgogne?
I think it was the latter.
Gruyere is used in fondue right? Probably why. Great sandwich cheese as well.
We really are subhumans.
Ugh
a-at least you're trying
>Gruyere
Sorry I meant Emmental. People always says we make cheese with holes in it but it isn't so popular here. Most people just buys cheese from their Canton.
This is """"""""cheese"""""""" in Egypt.
Yeah I ate that. Like bitter and saltier Fétà
Feta
Graviera
Metsovone
Kasseri
Mizithra
Anthotiro
Galotiri
Kefalotiri
Kefalograviera
Manouri
top Greek cheeses that came out of me head. There are some more grande cheeses from Crete, that I don't remember their name.
It's 5000 thousand years old
So is the "beer" they gave the workers that built the pyramids, but from the descriptions it doesn't sound so appealing.
>Graviera
sounds familiar kek
basiert
This is fucking amazing
Grouger is made from cow milk, Graviera is made from Mediterranean sheep.
milk
*stinks u*
Moo
Americans mostly eat foreign cheeses, whether its imported or made in Wisconsin or Vermont.
But since this is specifically about cheeses here. Uh. I guess i’d say one snack that is popular is cheese curds which is the byproduct of cheese making. They make great pub snacks when they are fried
Now that I remember, Cream Cheese is quite popular too
Monterey Jack
Obviously cheddar too
fuck off
I like comté
Looks like a big babybel
You're just mad because he posted Philadelphia instead of Boursin or La vache qui rit
Checked
blue>the rest tbhwy
Favorite one coming through
Don't forget Madame Loïk
We don't have alot of unique cheeses here in the US--but Muenster cheese is one of them.
I've read that it may possibly come from other cheeses, or literally be those other cheeses. I tried them all and muenster cheese is nothing like them.
We have Munster here but they don't look alike
Ate a mozzarella di bufala just a few hours ago. I really like its acidulous taste, though standard mozzarella can be good too.
We like cheese but we're more fresh milk/tvorog people
Muenster is french
It doesn't taste anything like that cheese you posted, or Lappi cheese either (another it is compared to).
Why it is called "munester" I don't know, but it's a shame it doesn't have an original name to fit it being its own cheese.
It's pretty good.
Nice
I have yet to meet a cheese I don't like
What's your favourite cheese?
Mine is Peccorino Romano
Apparently we have these. It's called dangke.
Comté
Based tall poppy poster
>Brézain
Absolutely based melted as raclette
>his cheese doesn't come in a can
Enjoy living in the past, faggots.
>russian cheese
Well, cheese is definitely not a thing we are good at.
Gouda
>Go to French restaurant
>Get cheese board for desert
>Always out of comté
, that shit drives me insane
please give me advice on cheese. I feel like anytime I buy something from the grocery store/super markets it's always mediocre at best
Yet it's the most produced one among all our protected cheeses
Victim of its success I guess
fuck i want this i want this righti now!!!
whats the name
>get bullied by the belgian
We almost have no good cheese here (Though have chess). Putin banned us to buy european cheeses (from coutries that putted sanctions on us). So we basically have to eat local shit or buy hyper expensive shit from Switzerland, or illegal cheese (ILLEGAL) from Finland. Such cases
based and redpilled
especially the 24 or 30 months one
Looks like a Mont d'Or to me
In mountain restaurants it is served hot and molten in the middle so you directly dip your meat and potatoes in it
FUCK YOUR CHEESE N***A
BUY NOTHER ONE U RICH MUFFAKA
I guess there's money to be made as foreign western European cheese maker to settle in Russia and sell (good) copies of banned cheeses made with Russian milk
They're absolute shit. All of the cheese I eat is imported.
Finnish Valio has some factories here, but it's obviously not enough. We have a lot of cheese but they are shit.
That was uncalled for.
We had some good cheeses before the ßanctions
Now local cheesemakers literally stopped trying
Cheddar is THE cheese. It's so sad that foreigners associate it with American ''''cheddar''''' though, we need a PDO pronto because they're nothing alike
They don't have any factories here, they just oversee production of the local manufacturers and slap their brand name on top
is it true you only make gouda though? that's the only dutch cheese anyone ever hears about here
Pic related is my favorite
Brie isn't a washed rind cheese desu. "Washed rind Brie" simply doesn't exist but if you like strong Brie I would recommend you Brie de Melun.
But I'm actually impressed, can you really find Brie noir in Australia? This shit is rare even in France.
Honestly countersanctions is the dumbest shit in the world
>Hurr durr they sanctioned our billionaires so we ban their products so billionaires could earn more from selling cheap shit to russian people
I hope every single one of these government rats suffer a painful death
Honestly right now I would cut my finger off for a few wheels of good central/southern european cheese
epic
Fuck, I'm hard.
They probably do others but the thing with gouda is it can be associated with anything, I've been to cheese shops in the Netherlands that only had Gouda but dozens of different flavors and spices
Gruyere is god tier when toasted over bread
Didn't know they had one
It doesn't produce regular cheese though, only the processed shit people itt laugh at
Well, i admit you was right. Fuck finns then
Check this out
>illegal cheese
My great-great-grandfather was a cheese wholesaler and made his fortune selling cheese to wealthy Germans during WW1. He sold Goudse (Gouda) on the Dutch market, while the inferior Edammer was for export to Germany. (He called it moffenvoer/kraut food).
There are illegal cheeses in the USA too
Some states are pretty autistic when it comes to raw milk and mold
Cheddar is overrated and the UK already has one PDO and one PGI cheddars.
