I know it's far-fetched, but some of you may know that the last Emperor of Germany, Wilhelm II. of Hohenzollern, was a grandson of Queen Victoria. As the firstborn child of her eldest daughter, he would have been the first in the royal succession line to the British throne if it hadn't been for a law that deprived women from claiming the throne unless their parents had no sons at all. Theoretically speaking, Wilhelm would have become King of the UK if Victoria had decided to abolish that law before her death. I know it would have never worked, but imagine...
