Based af, atheists literally have no rebuttal

god i want to throatfuck drumpf

I love how fucking dumb he is.

Shitposts like this are why I don't regret voting for this madlad.

>inb4 Al Gore goes on Twitter and cites this as irrefutable proof of AGW

Please don't

summer last year was so fucking hot and humid on independence day I remember we were trying to drive to a fireworks celebration and we genuinely couldn't shut the windows because the fog got so bad it was impossible to drive.

PA here, had never seen that in my area before.

He represents a huge chunk of the country on this subject

Trump is so retarded it's almost endearing.

where are you in PA? I keep running into all the shitty extremes in this state

2018 was one of the wettest years on record in the US.

the amount of people here who think
>it's cold=no climate change
is pretty severe

southeast

Yeah ok soiboy KEK

A huge chunk of the globe tbf

Here I thought climate change was widely accepted by other cunts
This world is depressing

Do you really think Trump is a smart man? He's Dunning–Kruger personified.

based boomer

Attached: 1525694268395.jpg (334x506, 42K)

an important thing to remember is that the rest of the world isn't western europe

you have huge impoverished chunks of asia, africa, south america, and eastern europe who don't have the resources that most of america and yurop have

You'd expect a man with that much power to have some scientific advisers. The plebs not knowing any better or falling for conspirational theories is one thing but not the POTUS

his appointee to the Environmental Protection Agency was anti-EPA

hello fellow PAnon.

He's certainly smart, just not scientifically or logically inclined. Many people I know who are pursuing PhDs fall for similar and worse fallacies. In fact I'm quite sure you are susceptible to strawmanning your opponents

He main gripe seems to be that climate agreements always allow thirdie nations to increase their emissions whereas first world nations have to drop theirs giving them somewhat an economic advantage.

Nah, we have the same sort of utter fuckwit that continually misrepresent and misunderstand the argument too.

this tweet doesn't exactly say "our climate change measures give third world countries an economic advantage" does it

this tweet says "it cold- globe supposed to be warming! ergo, no warming!" which even if it were an edgy joke, would be irresponsible for the president to say

>Cold snap caused because temperatures were too hot too late into the year and prevented the polar vortex from moving south at the usual time
>HURR IT SNOW NO CLIMATE CHANGE

wow so this is the power of average 90 IQ in US

>You'd expect a man with that much power to have scientific advisers
Why would they bother? Because they care about objective truth? Lolno.

Most politicians are actually very stupid, even the most prestigious ones, except for their area of expertise, which is rhetoric. They fall prey to ideologies just like the rest of us, and either feign or are stupid enough to believe on an emotional level that ideology is ultimate truth, just like normies.

Keep in mind you're speaking about a man who put an oil industry lobbyist in charge of the environmental protection agency, an ISP defense lawyer in charge of the ISP regulating body and a private school shill in charge of the public education sector.

His cabinet positions are not for knowledgeable experts in their field, they're power seats up for sale to the highest industry bidder.

just because someone has advisers doesn't mean he agrees with them. Chances are they told stupid fucking trump the impacts of climate change and he either said something retarded or completely ignored them.

It’s really no less stupid than when libs do the opposite and say every instance of unusual weather is proof of climate change.

Climate change is not real.

If climate change predictions are true, then wont the apocalypse come at the end of the century, when sea levels rise to the point where a quarter of all humans on earth will become refugees? Climate change people never talk about that shit and just smugly belittle the deniers.

>I see you're posting examples of Trump being an idiot, so let me counter with this nebulous "both sides" argument with a fictional scenario as it suits my needs at the moment.

>smugly belittle the deniers.
Lol, no, they don’t. They’re “belittling” you because you’re a dumbass

Not an argument.

>what is a joke

Im not a denier, hence why i referred to them in 3rd person. But do you think the first part is true? I never hear anything about that, no governments preparing for it or anything. Just "muh benguins" and "deniers are retards"

>private school shill
Rightfully so. Public education is an unfair monopoly that underperforms compared to private schools. DeVos only wants to give parents the *choice* to use the taxpayer money per pupil towards a private school if they prefer that to a public school. Anti DeVos shills are uninformed shills for corrupt shitty public union bosses.

I support net neutrality, Pai isn't as much of a corrupt shill as you can get however

The EPA does good work but it goes to far in many areas of regulation and incentivizes its prosecutors to be as vicious as possible instead of trying to cooperate with its vict--I mean, defendants.

You're so fucking stupid holy shit

Actually the first freezing spell we got was in November, it was the coldest Thanksgiving since 1901 or something.

people are generally short sighted. we bomb the shit out of the middle east, and are surprised when migrants flee from the area. we buy tons of drugs from latin america, then are surprised when drug cartels have tons of money to wage street wars that create tons of refugees. it's all a BIG SURPRISE cause we don't bother to think ahead

the truth is, many people in the world are already being displaced, either via desertification (see the growth of the Sahara southward) or the flooding of previously habitable land (Bangladesh)

>If climate change predictions are true, then wont the apocalypse come at the end of the century, when sea levels rise to the point where a quarter of all humans on earth will become refugees?

Not even close, ~1 billion refugees and 50% loss of farmable land globally will happen by 2050, African farm loss will happen a bit sooner so that will be the first colossal refugee source.

Effects are almost logarithmic in scale, not linear. Hence why the last 30 years has seen far more problems than the previous 100. Tipping points set off chain reactions. It would take about 6C to actually kill off human society as we know it (mainly through starvation and dehydration caused by drought, not just being really hot outside, temperature itself won't really fuck us directly).

But it's not a linear scale until 6C, it's not "Oh, 1C per 18 years, so 108 until we're dead". Within 3C warming forests will stop processing carbon the same and the ocean will turn from a carbon absorber to a carbon emitter, unleashing millennia of frozen, stored carbon from the deep sea, more than the entirety of human industrial output combined. At that point there is nothing to stop it, you can't scientifically cause the ocean to change on that scale. The main goal of stopping output is to stop the forest/ocean turnover that will be entirely out of our hands to fix.

It’s impossible to predict the future. Humanity has never been in this territory before, we can’t use historical data, so we have to make predictions.

But yes, many scientific models suggest a human exitinction by 2100

The problem Trump and many Trumpers have is that the phrase “global warming” caught on and they ran with it. Global warming is just one aspect. For example, another aspect is the complete extinction of all amphibians currently happening (frog species world wide are dying off at huge rates) and bird life (50% of all known bird species alive today will be extinct by 2075)

You're so stupid holy jesus

>Muh unions

Doubling down on the retarded Amerifat trademarks.

not an argument for your dumb comment

>deniers are retards
they unironically are
>"it's cold during the winter time so global warming is a hoax"

FYI I believe in climate change. people like you who go “You're so fucking stupid holy shit” instead of explaining the issue of climate change are the actual retards who encourage denialism. Kindly kill yourself and do humanity a favor.

>people are generally short sighted. we bomb the shit out of the middle east, and are surprised when migrants flee from the area. we buy tons of drugs from latin america, then are surprised when drug cartels have tons of money to wage street wars that create tons of refugees. it's all a BIG SURPRISE cause we don't bother to think ahead
I think that's one of the big flaws on globalization. Humans evolved to have social circles of a couple hundred at most. If our connections to others becomes more than that then it's hard to empathize with them or to fully consider the consequences of our actions.

not an argument for your dumb comment

>we can’t use historical data

Yes we can. There have been 2 extinction events caused by runaway carbon output caused by volcanos and other geological disasters that were spewing less carbon into the air than we are today.

Why do Americans think this is clever?
>extremely cold in the winter
>extremely hot in the summer
>midwestern united states
this affects crops...

his own administration posted a devastating report regarding climate change that came out late last year.
theguardian.com/environment/2018/nov/23/climate-change-america-us-government-report
Trump said "i read it" and "I don't believe it"

even alt right neo nazis I've met know climate change is driven by mankind. it's this retard boomer trolling that is so goddamned annoying. like those stupid "own the libz" facebook memes.

>instead of explaining the issue of climate change

We have, dozens if not hundreds of times. Brought charts, summaries, papers, even fucking simplistic cartoons made to explain it to kids. Their minds will not be changed, they think they know better because a gut feeling says so and they are retarded for it.

Nobody should be forced to pay dues to a union that pays its boss as much as your CEO and donates to Obama's campaign against your will.

Climate change is no joke guys. We are seeing a decline in crop yields in Canada. I'm pretty spooked but excited to see an end to this civilization.

It's "The Tragedy of the Commons", and has always plagued mankind, but you're right, a highly interconnected world with a massive population has far more terrible issues from the aforementioned human flaw, than say whatever problem a smaller group of humans could conjur

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy_of_the_commons

I know, but that’s pretty much different though, no? I meant more of the human involvement.

It’s amazing how lucky we are to live on this paradise right now, and yet we’re ruining it, and have basically already ruined it, in just a millennium, a short blinks in earth’s history

Because it may effect ExxonMobile’s bottom line. If the CEO doesn’t get his yearly $10,000,000 bonus, he will be very upset

Amerifats will finally accept climate change when the midwest crop yield tanks and suddenly they can't get any burgers because there are no grains for buns

almost epic numbers
but no, they'll still deny it

youtube.com/watch?v=_ZHnjDJpkVc

is anyone else legitimately starting to prep for a potential crisis brought about by this? it might come as a storm, or societal collapse in some poor country that triggers a refugee wave that breaks down a western country, or economic collapse, but I frankly don't have enough faith in humanity to believe we will act in time. I have bought guns and am starting to accumulate food and read survival techniques, but I'm still probably fucked anyways

Attached: 300px-392px-Plague_marine.jpg (300x459, 33K)

The crops are already showing signs of soil damage, because the average American’s diet is literally 50% fast food and 1/3 of us eat at least 1 fast food meal a day. Look it up.

The degree to which it is anthropogenic is not clear even within one sigma of significance for any proposed models. All of the climate change badness being true does not have clear implications for broad policies like limiting economically productive CO2 emissions. It is my position that we would be better off continuing to fund science at an exponential rate using a more efficient CO2 emission friendly economy to fund it than straddling ourselves with shitty eco friendly policies (while China, India, and Africa continue to develop and exponentially increase their carbon emissions). There is no feasible way to suck back up all the CO2 (and methane and etc) as of yet, I say, eventually science will make those non issues.

>because
Congress and by extension the EPA, FDA, and USDA are in bed with industrial farms and incentivize horrible single crop yields and abusing the soil for profit and governmdnt subsidies.

>s anyone else legitimately starting to prep for a potential crisis brought about by this
Trump and the USA government is, despite denying it exist

>It’s really no less stupid than when libs do the opposite and say every instance of unusual weather is proof of climate change.
*climate changes*
Normal people: "these unusual variations in the climate are probably the result of climate change"
You: "Hurr durr fucking libs thinking that the climate changing means that climate change is happening, how can they be so stupid?"

Kindly end yourself before you drag the rest of us down with you

This isn't really the type of thing you can prep for, user. This isn't like marshal law or a war or something where you go innawoods and live off the land. When temperatures start destroying land arability you're not going to be able to live off it. You're not going to start growing corn in your mud shack in the forest.

You're going to survive about as long as your canned goods can last, and then you're dead.

Also I think the biggest issue here is that people don't consider the human side of it all. Yes, crops will die, farmland will dry up, but people act like we're going to then just eat less and less until we all starve in 100 years. But really, it's more likely war will get most people, no one is going to wait around to starve. When a countries farm land dies, they're going to start trying to take the good land from neighbours. If climate change does indeed lead to the death of us as a whole, I think more of it will come from the preceding resource warring than the end result climate issues themselves.

I'm not surprised, they prep for anything and have Raven Rock and the Cheyenne complex and probably a hundred other sites. however, you and me, the average schmucks, are woefully unprepared.

>people will actually defend logical fallacies
I used to be amazed but now I know humans are utterly illogical people, full spectrum of ideology, even high IQ people. Don't feel bad, but do take logic 101 or read the image sticky on pol

americans don't know how to bant-

A lot of the wealthier parts of society are building bunkers or buying private islands - especially the people connected to the big polluter industries, since they know the mob will come for them first.

Well even if all of the woke white people start living like luddites starting today, that still wouldn't stop the billions of chinks, pajeets, and niggers from continuing to pollute as fast as they can. So i guess this is it, we're living in the golden age and final years of humanity. Might as well enjoy it and stop shitposting all day.

You should be thankful. Vast swathes of Canada will become prime farmland

No, they will become prime war zones.

I'm not hearing any kind of counter argument and I'm also not hearing you killing yourself so as to spare the rest of us the tragedy of living in a world in which you have the vote, so clearly something here needs to change.

I agree. I think, as wealthy nations, we will suffer, but nowhere near the extent poorer countries will. We will likely expend every ounce of wealth and might to prevent major starvation or suffering by any means, but I imagine hundreds of millions, if not billions, will perish in the developing world. I will stock up on canned food and hopefully not turn into some raider.

maybe we talked before, but people become fucking ugly when they are deprived of food. St Petersburg has been a european capital for economic might and culture, but in ww2 when the germans starved them, the people of Leningrad resorted to cannibalism by the thousands (pic not even related, that's from an earlier famine)

>going to start trying to take the good land from neighbours.
yes...... I hope it does not strain our relations. Canada will see its colder regions thaw and become quite arable. I imagine the US will demand much

Attached: 3BB6B4F200000578-0-image-a-22_1483101155805.jpg (962x1308, 129K)

I wouldn't jump on the alarmist wagon. Humans self preserve and models fail.

private islands don't do anything when the sea level rises. look at the government of Maldives.

What the wealthy will do is go into space. They might build multiple international space station clones and grow food in space. All the technology exists to do so.

Well I wasn't making a counter argument and I'm glad you are at least feigning support for merit based restrictions from voting. I say 120 IQ and 10 years of military service should be required.

Where do i read about the forest and ocean shit btw, can't find anything about it on google.

>Canada's cold regions thaw and become quite arable

I used to think so but then you realize that most of Canada's north is solid rock. There is no soil. And on top of that, there is a very likely chance that the Canadian north might become a methane swamp just like siberia.

Lmao yeah that's totally feasible mr. climate alarmist musk

The biggest mistake was calling it "global warming". Now idiots like this guy will never get it

>Canadian north might become a methane swamp just like siberia.

Whoah.... so this is the power of right wing """intellectuals"""....

Please, hurry up, Meuller. I don't know if I can make it two more years.

Attached: 1491096296464.jpg (407x361, 27K)

If you weren't making a counter argument then what the fuck were you trying to say? Because all I'm hearing is "hurr durr climate change is fake fuck da libs"

Ah yes, classic. Strawman. And a seeming inability to process logical claims....

Not an argument.

>libtards and shitskins are physically and emotionally DRAINED just because Trump is in office
HHAHAJAJJAAJJAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH YES.... FEED ME YOUR ENERGY!!!!

>Normal people: "these unusual variations in the climate are probably the result of climate change"
Which unusual variations in the climate are you talking about? Because there are exactly none.

Yup, it'll go down like it did in Rapa Nui

Energy? You guys lost 40 seats in the midterms. 2020 will be a blue bloodbath.

Lol when was the last president who didn't lose seats in the midterm?

Back to mexico you goblin

Pretty sure predictions have always been off the mark and there's nothing we can do now so whatever.

Answer the fucking question mate, what are you trying to say?
