I don't know - many people = many thought patterns. The same would apply for going public claiming to be Satoshi and not actually being Satoshi... If he is not, and never proves it, he will forever be laughed at and never taken serious - I cannot see how someone could be that ignorant. If he is not Satoshi, he must be part of the group.

I would normally agree with you, but this is happening currently. He has claimed to be Satoshi and is still taken seriously even though he has never proven it. I expect this to continue. Repeat a lie until it becomes the truth.
