Nightwish was gay. Remember Norther from when I liked melo death, had one record I listened to a lot.
A song here and there, yeah.
more like
>these are the finnish bands from 90s with most views on youtube
also, norther and ensiferum released their first album in 00s
>phonepost
Unbased and bluepilled
You are no longer a Finn
sonata artica and stratovarius are the pretty much the only power metal bands I like
the rest is pretty gay desu
Here, let me school you
youtube.com
Way more based than that pleb finn with his radio edit songs from bluepilled bands
That was kind of the point. The above are unironically the bands that were any sort of hit overseas. Post more, hit songs from Finland, whether it's bluepilled or not.
Finntroll was super big in Germany, even dominated in mainstream charts because of the Trollhammaren video
>because of the Trollhammaren video
huh. i didn't see anything special in that video
I think I'm secretly gay for Jonne
I listened to HIM and The Rasmus and Lorde when I was a young faggot teen. I still listen to Ensiferum and also Children of Bodom occasionally, but I think their new shit sucks.
based and redpilled
Ensiferum's first three albums or so are great.
>I still listen to Ensiferum and also Children of Bodom occasionally, but I think their new shit sucks.
This is pretty common, the key members leave and the band becomes shit. Same happened with in flames, the old stuff is great, and new just sucks.
Most of ensiferums new shit sucks but theres still 1 or 2 gems per album.
90s In Flames is pretty good stuff
But Dark Tranquillity and At the Gates are even better. Swedes know their metal music for sure

Yeah, it's not even funny how much better death metal Swedes make. Ours is mostly some radio-friendly "heavy metal" or power/folk crap. Japan and Taiwan are the new metal countries.
Cool. That band fuckings rules
Yes
HIM, Rasmus, Nightwish, Apocalyptica, Sonata Artica, Statovarius
Saw ensiferum about 8 years ago at a small venue in colorado and it was fantastic. Havnt heard anything from them since but they were badass and the guys in the band were making all the american metalhead girls drool in their underwear.
Also Korpiklaani are based
No Finland is the worst scene, only homos and DnD geeks
Where did you get to know all of those?
Based
take this you black metal autist
Internet + a DVD full of music I friend made for me loooooong time ago
I instantly recall Korpiklaani, Wintersun and Finntroll to the ones that have already been mentioned
It's actually insane to think how many relevant and influential metal bands came from a single country
You just have to love that autistic frozen hellhole
uhhh Nylon Beat was the best group in the 90s youtube.com
So good even the kpop industry copied it
Well this is weird.
Has anyone actually managed to revive their childlike wonder for metal music?
Yeah. I'm 24yo and i still listen to metal music every single day and buy/collect metal albums. I got into metal music at the age of 13-14, so that could explain it.
I didn't like it as a kid, so now I have plenty to discover
i'll never forgive that region for inventing black metal

best band of all time
I have always liked metal, sure my taste in it has changed, but metal music is so vast area that there's always something interesting to discover. I started to listen more other kind of music too though when I grew older. But I still like metal most (and the heavy melodic kind).
Got actually reminded of Poets of the Fall
