UK and France are universally seen as cowards because in WW2 both were bound by an alliance with Poland, yet despite declaring war failed to act. Germany could have been attacked on both fronts since the beginning of the war, but both countries chickened out. France got rekt soon after, and the UK woke up only as bombs started falling.

The UK didn't go to sacrifice anyone for us. They fought for their own survival and out of hopes to gain influence post war.
