Staten island is a glorified suburb. Literally no different than living in any other shithole in America. Manhattan is the financial center of the world, it has a level of gravitas no other city in America besides LA can come close to. Chicago and San Fransisco/Silicon Valley are just below those two cities and the rest of America is a whole step below those.
