Being given mesalazine for Crohn's should raise some suspicion. It's the cheapest anti-inflammatory medicine and isn't even made for Crohn's. It only affects the outer lining of your colon while Crohn's affects every layer of it. If you have inflammation in your ileum it does nothing. Seems like cost-cutting to me.

My case of acne maybe was not very very severe like some peoples from google images, but it's was not look well.
I used to treatment it with isotretinoin which was prescripted by dermatologist, my skin is pretty okay now, aside a few keloids but they are not on my face and are not very big fortunately.

mesalazine is standard starting therapy for crohn, biological agents like infliximab that i think i understood you are getting are only for unresponsive severe crohn and they have far more linked risks and are much more annoying to take
if you can keep your illness in check with mesalazine they have a bad gain/risk ratio (there's obviously also economical reasons but that isn't the main point)
