Nothing, шь is just dumb spelling used for second person singular for some reason, the sound is always hard regardless of the soft sign. Google how soft and hard sounds work in Russian

Russian spelling is very consistent aside from a couple exceptions like that and eгo being pronounced eвo, the problem is random as fuck stress completely changing how words sound
