Or because speculants rule the market? - Real demand and supply got defeated
Austin Morgan
It's because of this, the first house is in a very attractive area. The second house is far from any cities, and is in fact in the outskirts of the entire populated area with only swamps and woods on one side and some corn fields on the other.
The second house in Homstead, that city is near Miami, so you can be in Miami in 30 minutes.
And I ask you if you had 1$ million dollar in which of the two houses would you prefer to live?.
Blake Thomas
High demand due to California being paradise on earth drives up prices. Florida is the asshole of the United States so naturally nobody wants to live there despite the state being income tax free.
Isaiah Hernandez
In which house would you rathar live though?.
Brody Ramirez
House prices are ridiculous everywhere.
Liam Hernandez
Salaries are inflated as hell in the bay area.
Easton Cruz
maybe it's just jobs?
only in Anglo countries desu
In continental Europe they're rather affordable, for instance. Not to mention Latin America or Asia
Hunter Rogers
A 436m2 apartment in central Shanghai sold out for 1250$.
Yeah but it's still in the outskirts. It's not comparable at all.
Besides, the second home is not even that cheap. You get much bigger houses for half the money here, in the outskirts of a city.
Justin Williams
They can't afford it. The Florida house of course. Likewise you can buy a mansion in Baghdad for even less but I'd rather live in California.
Brandon Butler
>Everyone on earth wants to live there this just sounds so surreal and futuristic when you say it out loud
Brayden Thompson
it's full of hispanics, homeless and disgusting garbage including heroin needles
Oliver Morris
>And I ask you if you had 1$ million dollar in which of the two houses would you prefer to live? Oh, and I would rather live in along the north western coast. For example this (maybe, just a quick search that I did)
Yes kinda, but not so much because it looks like norway, but because I can't stand the climate in Florida or California. It's far too hot for me. And I'm a nature person too, and I would be killed in the swamps in Florida, or be grilled in the deserts in California. In WA though I would prosper and be very content with that kind of nature. The prices for those homes are similar to here from what I could gather.
The house I linked to would have to be a bit renovated to fit my own taste on the inside, but it was more sizable than the florida house. It's the kind of size I have myself, but slightly cheaper which is very good. The neighbourhood seemed nice, but more importantly it's close to nice nature, look at this pic. Of course, I could be looking for a house closer to Seattle. I bet I could get a nice house near Seattle for the same amount of money as your expensive florida house. That is to me much better.
Only in Big cities. I am sure swiss is more expensive.
Even your air will be more expensjve becquse you are greedy bastards
Parker Gomez
I'm not an expert but I've heard that you have to pay quite a bit of money to live in a nice sizable house in Switzerland, at least if you want to live anywhere near a city.
David Ramirez
They pay junior devs 100k
Liam Evans
I heard that for some financial tax reason it is smart to live in debt. Some Swiss family I know was about to pay of their home so they renovated their garden to accumulate more debt.
Jordan Fisher
God that "mansion" is ugly. Holy shit. Why is American architecture so shit?
It has potential. Needs renovation, probably it needs flooring because they have just put carpet over everything. Lmao why do americans put carpet on every single floor in their homes?
Could be something with lesser propery taxes on a property with debt than one that is fully owned. When it's fully owned it becomes an object of your fortune.
Noah Wright
no one owns houses in switzerland they all rent
Anthony Ramirez
My thoughts as well when I saw it. It is built like a mansion, but its size is just near 250 square meters, it's just a normal house lol, but looks like it tries to be a mansion in bel air or something.
Charles Hill
Maybe because of that reason? I don't know anything about housing in Switzerland tho, so...
Mason Robinson
30 minutes BY CAR
Thomas Clark
My house is 30 minutes from the city centre by foot.
Christian Scott
daily reminder that most western countries' have a housing crisis due to russians and chinese using housing as money escape investments. and that these problems could be solved using a housing visa.
and that such a change will never happen as the money is too big
We don't have a chinese or russian problem here, but that is a good idea with the housing visa. Why should foreigners be allowed to buy up the housing of one's country? A ridiculous notion.
Chase Gonzalez
> if you had 1$ million dollar in which of the two houses would you prefer to live?.
Neither to be honest.
Austin Hughes
its not just about the money you have, its about the money you can earn. if i had 1mil home, then SF would be a better idea as i'm more likely to be able to get a job that can maintain my 1mil investment in SF than i am in fuck knows where.
plus if i want to rent it out, people will actually want to live in it, instead of some palace among the corn fields
Colton Gonzalez
Because biggest movie industry and biggest tech industry on the planet. California is a place with best and most opportunities.
Grayson Harris
Depending on where in the US the so-called starter home would cost 1 million tho. For as big a country as USA is, that infopicture is a bit generalizing. It says that a lot of the middle-lower class caps at that level, so it would be easier to call it "lower to middle class" and drop the "starter home" because it impies that they are normally just for young people that will go to the next level, when the truth is that most will cap at it. And then for the next one call it "upper middle-class" instead of "ultimate middle-class". Or am I misinformed?
Daniel Turner
california is a filthy shithole but it does have the best industries, best weather, best geography, and it has ocean access. There's a reason it's filled with filthy people, but sometimes those people are enough to put you away from wanting to live there.
Owen Cook
yes also you can buy an 6 bedroom mansion in kansas with that 1 million
>best weather, best geography >just gonna go hike in the nature >wtf it's all desert with some green bushes here and there, oh wait I'm literally on fire aaahhhhhh!!!!1
True, the closer you are to Miami, the shittier the area. California is as far from Miami as you can get, so of course it's expensive.
Jordan King
california gets a lot of shit on the news about the fires because it's a story that sells. Everyone in the world knows 'california'. The story wouldn't sell if it they said Oregon had the fire.
That house is 1 million only? If so then that's very impressive pricing. But is it so far in the boonies you'd have to call it Nowhere, or is it actually near a sizable town/city at least? If you live somewhere with less than 20k people then I for one think that it's not even worth it.
Liam Carter
gaudy and ugly
Evan Parker
Says the snownigger whose whole country is in the snow. At least California has industries etc unlike Norway.
Josiah Baker
Just the heat alone in that place would lit me up on fire, I don't need the wildfires to die there.
I'm just saying that if temperatures reach 40+ then I have trouble seeing how it's a "good" type of climate. But surely that is just my opinion.
Alexander Thompson
it's not hot in san francisco the terrain is weird and it's caught in some cold bubble
Easton Sanchez
Well for one it doesn't snow there so that alone makes in goo d type of climate IMO.
Liam Gomez
You guys know Dinglederper from Twitch? youtu.be/UTSha0O8yYU?t=290 >4:50 Europoors wished they lived in a house like this. even if you wouldn't like it, your whores would, and their clothes would be off immediately.
Jonathan Lopez
SF and going north from there looks very comfy. But even SF, especially when you go inland to Sacremento and those other smaller cities there, it's way too dry and sandy for my taste. I prefer truly green nature, like that which you see further north on the west coast. That yellow grass I see in the plains and on the hills in California, even in northern California is not very aesthetic to my eyes. Should be green.
Snow is very comfy imo. But I get why someone from the mediterranean would say that.
Liam Long
You go through 3 terrains going from SF - Sacramento - Lake Tahoe Tahoe is what you're into. In fact, there's a 4th terrain at Napa, which is like Tuscany in italy. California is the greatest geological place.
